it's extremely important to know that dpats drums take a lot of influence from timbaland and the rest of swing mob, the drums in been away are sampled from da bassment crews "Ain't Nuthin' but a B-Party", and there are similar drums in aaliyahs one in a milliom, which was produced by timbo
aside from that, no matter how simple brents beats sound, he always has tons of layers of his background vocals which fill out the beat and make it more complex
I thought that Larger than Life was produced by Timbaland until i checked the credits lol

Actually its not a bird loop its a crickle loop used a lot in 90s rnb + the drums in been away are sampled (you can find the crickle loop in yvesrobbie drum kit vol 1)
