We all know Honkai Impact 3rd would eventually give emotional moments in the story. I didn't expect Tears of Themis to follow Honkai's footsteps too! Don't kill my baby Luke please!

Honkai Chapter 9 is the time miHoYo killed Himeko. The first time a playable character was killed. They then killed many characters in Honkai Gakuen 2 aka GGZ after that.
Tears of Themis is essentially following the trope of getting the main character killed or nearly killed with Luke. Genshin and HSR haven't got the trope yet, probably because the former's fanbase are normies that don't understand otaku culture and the latter is still a brand new game. The latter also had Himeko as well, which is a huge red flag since apparently every incarnation of Himeko out there is getting killed or is suffering and might die soon.
