Gacharic Spin is one of the most important japanese bands imho. There is a lot of conections from them to other bands and their relation with members of Babymetals Kamiband goes back to early 2000s. Tamu from Nempophila have jumped in on drums for them on live shows. Hana who plays the drums here is one of the most multitalented musicians around, she actualy played bass in a band with Hideki Aoyama (Kamiband) before Gacharic Spin. Tomo the guitarist is in a league of her own and F chopper on bass is a story of her own.
Deep Purple's Jon Lord was a big influence on keyboard player Oreo Reona, I wouldn't be surprised if she was also a fan of Tony Carey in Rainbow! Gacharic Spin have a hard-rock/heavy-metal covers band called Metallic Spin with Saber Tiger vocalist Takenori Shimoyama on lead vocals, there's a video of them performing Rainbow's Spotlight Kid here if you're interested: czcams.com/video/iBWkWeknJco/video.html Drummer Hana Sano also lists Cozy Powel who had a stint in Rainbow as an influence.
Regarding the genre of Gacharic Spin, they vary a great deal, their back catalogue have tracks that would fit in genres ranging from speed metal, disco, cute pop, nu metal, EDM, funk, punk, educational children songs about poop (no really XD),...they really just do whatever they feel like, for those with an ecclectic musical taste it's amazing, but some people prefer a band to stick to doing pretty much one main thing which is also fine, just depends on your tastes!
Besides their hard-rock/heavy-metal covers band Metallic Spin, they also have an occasional collaboration with Fuki (lead vocalist of the band Unlucky Morpheus). The collaboration band is called DOLL$BOXX and whilst also heavily ecclectic leads a bit more on metal influences, their track Sekai wa Kitto Ai wo Shitterunda has an almost Dragonforce-esque hyper-fast guitar and drum main riff. Even crazier is they performed two concerts that day, first a 2 hour DOLL$BOXX show in the afternoon, then a few hours break, then they came back and performed and 3 hour show as Gacharic Spin. Both shows that day were recorded for DVD's as well.
Anyway, sure that's enough rambling, hope there's some information of interest here for you. I'll agree with others to take a look at Gacharic Spin's track "I Wish I" - there's both live and MV available, both are fantastic.
Oh btw, you'll see the lady who was on drums and vocals in the clip you reacted to here, Hana Sano, move around a lot, the band actually had a full time drummer called Yuri at the time this clip was recorded, but Yuri was off on maternity leave for a lot of 2021, so Hana filled in drums on the latest album and for parts of the tour in support of it. There's another live performance of MindSet on their channel from about 6 months after the one you reacted to here, when Yuri is back on drums and Hana is out on guitar (she adds some crazy fusion guitar soloing over the top of that nuts instrumental interlude as well). You'll also sometimes see her playing aerophone (think an electronic saxophone). She rarely does it for Gacharic Spin nowadays but she's also an extremely talented keyboard player and bassist as well.

One of their funkiest songs - do many genres even in one song - including heavier rock/metal. Second recommendations of "I Wish I" and "Tamashi".
They are such a dynamic band, and plays really varied music as well. It is well worth checking out their incarnation "Doll$Boxx" after the loss of singer Armmy.

And the lead guitarist Tomo-zo has the vocal lead on several songs as well.
You haven't even seen her shred yet. She's a team player, but it's great when she has the chance to cut loose.

Some info on Gacharic Spin.
Pronounciation:
The cha sound is pronounced like in gotcha, so Gotcharick Spin. I believe the name comes from spinning a gachapon machine, which are machines all over Japan where you get random capsules out of the machines with toys or candy in them. You never know what you are going to get.
The band lineup:
They are around since 2009 and have had a lot of different lineups. Some with dancers because the main vocalist left (was fired?) and both their singers were stuck behind the drums and keyboards and they felt like they needed someone up front. Fuki (singer of Unlucky Morpheus) also filled in right after they were without a main vocalist and it spawned a separate spin-off band Doll$boxx with the instrumentalists of Gacharic Spin and Fuki as vocalist. That project only had a couple of albums over the years because how busy they are, but technically it still seems alive.
Nowadays they have a new drummer and the drummer from this video is playing a second guitar. This is basically the latest lineup minus the current drummer who was most likely on maternity leave when this was shot. Hana (the drummer in this video) is a multi instrumentalist and can basically play whatever she wants, so she has played a couple of strange instruments over the years that you don't see too often.
Music style:
As far as their music style goes, they are all over the place. From very poppy to more funky like this one and everything in between (again, you never know what you are going to get). They are typically very energetic though, especially their live stuff. I don't recall a lot of heavy songs necessarily. Doll$boxx is usually a bit heavier, but still has a lot of synth in there as well.
I am sure some other fans that know the band longer than I do can fill in on more info. I wasn't a huge fan in the beginning (with the exception of MindSet, which I loved) because some of their songs were a bit too on the poppy side for me, but watching videos of them live is what made me change my mind. Watching them perform is infectious and usually impressive to watch because of how talented all of them are at their instruments.
As far as songs go, next to "I Wish I" (most people are going to mention that one), I would say Tamashii live is a good one since it has focus on the drums (they also have a cool video of them playing the same song on toy instruments). More others that I really like: Their Live Instrumental 2018 (great musicianship and I absolutely love that song), ハンティングサマー (Hunting Summer, I love the 2016 one the most but all of them are great), ガンバンバダンサー (Ganbanba Dancer) and Winner (difficult to find a good live one unfortunately). I can not imagine how they keep that amount of energy up for hours.
Most of these are on the poppy side (hunting summer, ganbanba dancer and winner are older songs), but their performances are fun to watch. I do think Tamashii and their live instrumental should be enjoyable for people who love rock and metal.

Music Battler is part heavy with metal influences(check out Digital Fiction,Nostalgic Blue and Joushi something destroyer),part ballads and part pop rock.Gold Dash is a heavy rock/nu metal album.

I own both of these albums and I can't say I have ever thought about them that way. I agree that Gold Dash is certainly rockier (as is their latest one). But all those earlier albums that I have heard (the earliest one I own is Music Battler) are very poppy to me because of all the synth and vocoder/talkbox use. I really don't hear a lot of metal in there personally even though the 2 following ones are probably a bit more poppy.
That being said, I have listened to metal for the last 20 years and most of it the last 10 - 15 years was faster metal like black and death metal, so my way of seeing metal might be different from people who are less used to listening to metal.
I will give Music Battler an other spin one of these days to check because it is latest one I got and I probably listened to that one the least. I have basically gone back in time and all their main albums from Music Battler until now, but I bought them in reverse order. I can't really find their older stuff any more.

I also didn't want to say they don't have rock based songs, they do. But I would say that the majority of their albums are at least 50% on the poppy side to my ears. The last 2 probably a little less, the one before that (G-litter) way more. Nothing wrong with that obviously, but I personally can't really recall a heavy song by them (as far as metal or rock goes) although they probably have at least a few.
I also want to make sure that I don't use poppy as an insult or anything like that. I might not be a fan of a lot of pop or even poppier chorusses and things like that, but I completely understand why a lot of people love it. And Gacharic Spin does it all very well, especially in their live shows.
I actually listen to a lot of core stuff like deathcore and some death and black metal.Gachapin’s metal influences are to nu metal and alt metal than extreme metal or classic metal,but it’s still metal.
@@MaartenT Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is an electronic trance metalcore band.They use a lot of vocoder and synths/samples in their metalcore but I wouldn’t call them poppy.
Unfortunately the keys are indeed lost in the mix - maybe you should view the studio version as well, no sound problems there ;)

Hey man - nice reaction. Gacharic Spin has a wide range of styles, but they don't tend to get too heavy - you might want to checkout I Wish I. However, to mix GS talent with a heavier style you should definitely checkout their side-project Doll$boxx - this has the same drummer, guitar keyboard and bass, but add in Fuki the singer from Unlucky Morpheus who I see you are already familiar with.

They are performing without their permanent drummer and their second singer is filling in. They sometimes perform with two kits. They also have a second identity as DOLL$BOXX. DB is a little heavier and has the singer from Unlucky Morpheus.

In case you're wondering about the changing members, they have a rather turbulent history.
They started as a four piece, but their original singer had to leave due to health reasons and shortly after passed away. After that Oreo (Keyboard) joined. I might be wrong on the time here, but IIRC, Oreo joined after Armmy (original singer) left.
These four members (Hana - Drums/Voc., Koga/Bass, Tomo-Zo/Git. and Oreo/Key) haven't changed since then, but they had various stage performers over the time.
Their latest additions are Angie (stage performer & vocals, seen here in Mindset) and Yuri (drums - not in the video, since she was on maternity leave during that time) Hana switched to guitar since then, but occasionally returns to drums.
