I did not expect you to put this in the intro but I should have 😂
I need a cigar after that one...
Not gonna lie, I was waiting for an edit to be made at the “this is my swamp” part. Instead, I thought Shrek would say the intro.

We managed as a family to get on the Shrek ride one last time before it closed for good. It's so weird going to the parks now and seeing Minion walls around the place :(
Since it was closing I decided to buy a shrek 4-d shirt from the gift shop. It now hangs proudly in my closet and it's a good reminder of the one attraction we would always wait in line for.

@@jonathansortega Fair enough
Fun Fact: During Shrek's time at Warner Bros Movie World, the Shrek walkaround character would occasionally be seen with the Austin Powers walkaround actor, especially during parades. Nowadays Shrek is at Dreamworld (no relation), WB's rival theme park that's basically down the street. They built a DreamWorks Experience over there with great theming. E.g. There's a medieval style carnival for Shrek & a small Chinese village for Kung Fu Panda with Mr. Ping's restaurant.
Damn, the crossover I never knew I needed
As someone who lives 15 minutes away from the park the DreamWorks experience is it (its called dreamworld) ya its really well themed for a kids area and another fun fact before it was DreamWorks it was a nickelodeon area with rides based off SpongeBob, Rugrats, the angry beavers and more.
Oh wow, I remember seeing this first on a DVD called "Shrek 3-D" around 2004, and I went to this attraction at Universal Studios Florida back in 2006.
The flogging joke and the humor on this channel is one of the main reasons I keep coming back, keep it up!
Idk if I’m crazy or smth but I feel like you’ve been so much funnier since you returned, this video is informative and hilarious and I love it
Thank you for the kind words Tingo Fingo.
The stage musical is incredible and I will not hear slander against it.
I like it, too. I’ve seen it twice.
I don't get how someone could love the movie and hate the musical, but apparently it happens. Go figure.
No it’s literally one of my favorites 😭
Who I’d Be is one of my favorite songs!
@@Disneyfreak_8 It’s one of my favorites, too.
I remember watching this short when I was around 8 years old in 2004,it's a shame he's gone. I hope there is a remake or something in the future to revive the franchise, like why not a Netflix series? But please Hollywood, don't destroy nor forget the best (and only) Ogre of the film history
Heck yeah! A Netflix series that tells more stories!
I think the series should be called “Shrek Stories”!
Actually, I believe DreamWorks is actually remaking the original Shrek to bring the animation to today's date. Idk if that's true tho. J just heard about it ago
The Shrek 4-D attraction is an amazing attraction. It's sad that it's gone now.
Agreed I was actually in tears 😭 when I heard the official confirm from universal Florida that the atracción was gonna close shrek 4d was my all time fav atracción

@@Supreme-Fishy yea this ride is the best in my opinion because it doesn’t make me so dizzy

Make sure you make an episode about the history of Snow White’s Scary Adventures at Disneyland/Magic Kingdom/Tokyo Disneyland/Disneyland Paris in the future.
One of the few rides I went on the only time I ever went to Magic Kingdom when I was 4 or 5 in 2001. Scared me to death. But it didn't help that the first thing we did was ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter. During that I was like comatose in fear so that didn't help.
@@Nickr3000 Well, when the Walt Disney World version of Snow White’s Scary Adventures opened in 1971, the character of Snow White didn’t appear in the attraction and the seven dwarves only appear in one scene. The Evil Queen in her old hag guise appears seven times in the original version of the Walt Disney World dark ride.
I had rode on the shrek 4D ride one last time before it permanently closed and I had already missed it ever since it first opened. I know We still have shrek on Netflix and dvd but still it was one of the best moments in universal history.
As a long time Shrek fan, this is possibly the best send off for this legend and his attraction. Thank you for this 🙏🙏
YES FINALLY! I have been waiting so long for you to cover Shrek 4D!!!
we want volcano bay
The humor in this episode is unmatched, I love it 😂
Minions took Jimmy Neutron AND Shrek. Who would’ve thought it?
They must be exterminated before they spread like a virus (even though they have already)
I wouldn't be mad if it's how to train your dragon
I wanted to be secrey lif eof pets
I can already tell, this one’s gonna be good
The humor in this video is top notch! Also, hearing you attempt to sing All Star at the end was amazing 😂
Make sure you make an episode about the history of The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland/Walt Disney World/Tokyo Disneyland and its darker version at Disneyland Paris titled Phantom Manor.
We've been asking for haunted mansion for a long time. I don't think he's ever going to do it but I wish he'd at least say why not.
@@danielledantzer0990 Jack of Theme Park History on CZcams will make a video about the history of The Haunted Mansion in the future along with Haunted Mansion Holiday as well.
Phantom Manor was my favorite of the 3 HM I’ve ridden. I haven’t been to the upgraded version, but PM left a mark as one of my favorites
@@nothingcankilldagrimace You mean THE Phantom Manor that has Vincent Price’s voice added back in partially at Disneyland Paris?
Thank you for making this video! As a huge Shrek fan growing up, I always wanted to experience the Shrek 4-D attraction in Universal Studios Florida. It was one of my childhood dreams, but now, it'll never happen, and it'll never come true. That childhood dream of mine has already been taken away from me, and it feels like it has been crushed into pieces. Another important piece of my childhood is already gone. Shrek has been an important part of both my childhood and my life, and he still is to this day.

It’s on Netflix if you want to watch it there..
It wasn’t that good tbh
someone was feeling saucy today!
I was writing and editing this video when I had Covid, so I'm sure I wasn't in the right state of mind!
Mike Myers voiced Shrek with the accent he used for SNL’s Lothar of the Hill People which he played the title role!

OH DEAR GOD, THE BEGINNING, OH GOD LOL
Must say that this might be the best video you've made so far! The amount of information, love and onions in this video is "ogretastic"! Just wanted to say that I have the DVD version, but it was a 2 film pack, so it was Shrek 3D (with the glasses) alongside "Wallace and Gromit - The Curse of the Were-Rabbit" 😂😂😂 A one of a kind experience!!!
I can’t believe it’s ogre :-(
Shrek is love, Shrek is life.
The hell- that intro caught me so off guard 😭
Omg… I had the 3D DVD as a kid, I had no idea until now that it was the same show as the ride! I couldn’t figure out why it was so short when I was little. That makes so much sense now!
best into yet.
Finally a new Theme Park History!!!
Here’s your 👑 King.. Can you also please do the Muppet Vision 3D Ride at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios?
I can’t believe you added that intro!!!! Hahahahaa I’m crying!!!
You said the JACKASS so calmly and out of nowhere🤣
We got a donkey, driving a carriage made from an onion, it's dark, and our horses are wearing sunglasses... Hit it, boys!
Thanks for that intro haha
I absolutely adore this channel and throughly enjoy every video you’ve posted. Nothing makes me want to go back to theme parks like this channel lol. You might not see this but I would love to see a video about the history of one of Universal’s newest attractions the VelociCoaster or Animal Kingdom’s Avatar Flight of Passage.
Please continue posting more of this type of content, I look forward to whatever comes next! ✌️
The Stone Dragon even though the ride is gone, is probably to this day, the MOST scariest, and creepiest character in the Shrek Franchise in my opinion. Just imagine that you’re by yourself alone in the middle of nowhere, find yourself in a spooky grace yard, it’s midnight, and just knowing that you’re in a place where the dead are, make the situation more unsettling and makes you feel like you’re being watched. Then you come across a enormously massive statue of a dragon made of stone that is assumed to be depicted as the actual dragon female that is fighting Lord F, and right away your gut is telling you that something doesn’t feel right, then suddenly the statue comes to life to turn to face you as you’re minding your own business, then suddenly you hear something coming to life, and terrified to turn around to see that the stone Dragon has came to life, and is looking directly at you with glowing red eyes, with a smirk on its face, and it’s roars are voiced by Frank Welker and it then begins to chase you. That is something most people would absolutely find very scary to be in such situation.
I had the 2D version of The Ghost of Lord Farquad on a CD-ROM. I'm almost 100% sure I pulled it out of a cereal box in the early 2000s
I remember watching Shrek 4D when me and my family visited Universal Studios Orlando back in 2012. It was a fun experience and we really enjoy it. It’s very sad that it’s all ogre now that they closed the attraction in the US parks. Although it’s gone for good, I can still watch the ride on Netflix. Your new video is excellent and well done, your content give me a smile and joy. Keep up the excellent work! 👍
18:00 this caught me so off guard and now I can’t stop laughing 🤣. Please put more comedy like this into your videos
I’ve been waiting for this video my whole life!

Awesome video man! Thanks so much. That attraction was awesome.👍🏽
11:56 How to tell this is a Universal video: cuz of the sick shade thrown at Disney!
Man, your writing for this episode is super on point!
Since 2019-Present there have been over several CG animated feature films from DreamWorks Animation that were distributed by Universal Pictures
1) "How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World" (2019),
2) "Abominable" (2019),
3) "Trolls World Tour" (2020),
4) "The Croods: A New Age"(2020),
5) "Spirit: Untamed" (2021),
6) "The Boss Baby: Family Business" (2021),
7) "The Bad Guys" (2022).
Up next in 2022
8) "Puss In Boots: The Last Wish" (2022).
And in 2023
9) "Trolls 3" (2023).
Probably my personal favorite Universal ride! Shrek is my favorite movie of all time and to experience it in 4-D I fell in love! I only got to ride it once sadly but Shrek 4-D will always live in my heart!
You're stuff is amazing and you did the big green man justice. Thank you as always!
Amazing intro! Great video as always.
Thank you so much Chris I loved this Attraction so much but now it's gone I'm gonna miss it
Never been this early
I’m early(ish)
This is a great video for any Shrek fan who misses the 4D attraction.
My new years resolution! To keep up with this channel 🙂
Glad to see you really deep dive and peel back the onion layers on this one
Your video editing skills are simply amazing. Great intro. 10/10 recommend!
I can't believe that ride is closing down after 19 years staying in the parks, shrek's journey with his 4D ride is finally retire.
I used to remember watching shrek 4D on home media DVD release with Shrek 3D, but in Netflix it was called The Ghost of lord farquaad. But unfortunately nowadays due to the sudden passing of Steve Harwell The Smash Mouth singer for All Star, I don’t think The Shrek universe is not gonna be aged well but Dreamworks still has the spirit of Shrek’s cinema golden era.
Thank You Shrek 4D for all the loving, memories, and even supporting the universal parks and dreamworks for over 19 years of shrek 4D.
P.S on the bright side, at least Shrek's adventure london is still here nowadays.
P.S.S Happy 20th anniversary Shrek 4D
Shrek 4D 2003 - 2022.
Thanks for making this!
Thanks for the video! I always look forward to them!
Glad you like them!
The music is reminding me of the Gamecube Shrek 2 game... nostalgia just hit so hard
Matter of fact, most of the music is from Shrek Extra Large, so you're not wrong.
I was working at Universal (food server at CityWalk) around 2001. There was a company-wide announcement at some point during my time there, where they brought us all into a big room and discussed something (the substance of which I can't recall; probably just a "company update" kind of thing), but I do clearly remember Shrek 4D being part of the announcement, and they played a preview of the in-show video, but with all the 3D models un-textured and shades of white/gray.
Anyway, I don't think I ever actually rode Shrek. I think I left in 2002 or so...?
It was after, for sure. Actually, after giving it some thought, I think I worked at Universal from mid 2002 to spring 2003 or so. Difficult to remember at this point...
That intro💯💯💯💯
Good lord that intro, looks like a good episode to me.
Yay, I got recognized by an amazing channel
Bro that intro
My family and I went to Universal studios and we saw this movie
We rode this just a few months before it closed. We didn't know at the time it would be closing. But the seats were really clunky, and the effects were lackluster. They must have already planned it's closure (of course)
Thanks for this video! Always quality stuff!!!
My pleasure!
I love the jokes you make through your videos. The delivery makes me think they’re just part of your spiel until I realize what you just said lmao.
Do a history of A race through New York starring: Jimmy Fallon
Love that ride
I remember owning the dvd version of the show when I was young and using the cheap 3-D glasses it came with
I thought I had purged that Shrek video out of my life, but it appears Shrek is love, Shrek is life...
I requested that!
Yes.
Shrek 4d: permanently closed
Me: Disappointment now haunted my dreams😔
I love the more adult humor sir, very good job! Shrek is love, Shrek is life
I enjoyed the ride during its stint at Universal Hollywood. The minions one is okay
Well I guess I can no longer watch this channel with my kid after that intro 😆

Universal: Your Attraction Is Ogre
I’ll take “intro that never needed to happen for $500, thanks Alex”
Can you please make an episode about the history about California Screaming aka the Incredicoaster at Disney California Adventure Park in California?
This has been one of the best and funniest vids from you yet! I laughed alot and had a big goofy grin on my face the entire time.
*How about these attractions?*

-Muppet Vision 3-D
-It's Tough To Be A Bug
-Honey, I Shrunk the Audience
-Mickey's Philharmagic
-Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout
I had this on DVD. It was AWESOME!
Make sure you cover on a video about the history of The Magic of Disney Animation attraction at Disney MGM Studios aka Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World in Florida in the future.
Jack, thank you for including my comment your channel and hopefully you like the playlists I created for this video unfortunately there are some twecks that were not included my comments or my playlists but you did what you could.
We'll the opening and ending was a little... Strange, but I kinda like my version of the opening featuring the teaser trailer of SHReK and the ending featuring the DreamWorks Trolls.
But it's not just the DreamWorks; SHReK franchise I'd enjoy, there are Two franchise from DreamWorks Animation that I'd enjoyed watch including the DreamWorks; How To Train Your Dragon franchise, and the DreamWorks; Trolls franchise.
Well don't uselessly called myself a "Brogre" I'm more a Troll dude myself because I'm an official member of the Pop tribe for the pass 9 years.
P.s. I've watched every DreamWorks Trolls media including the 2 feature films and 2 holiday TV special, expect for 2 animated series...yet.
This ride was great when all the other rides are super long and you want a cool break
heck yes!
Rip Shrek 4D at Universal Florida and Hollywood... 😢
R.I.P. Shrek 4-D (2003 - 2022)
The 1st time I visit in Universal Hollywood was back in summer 2009 when I was 6 years old and Shrek 4D was one of the most thing I loved from the park at that time, then in the 2nd visit in 2017 I noticed that the ride is no longer there and construction began for Kong Fu Panda
I've Used To Love Watching DreamWorks's Shrek The Movie In 2001 When I Was A Kid. Thanks Mate. X
Hey, Theme Park History! Let's do Viper at Six Flags Great Adventure!
Shrek was a Movie that was like no other worshipped by many. And praised by some of the best Filmmakes such as Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Peter Jackson, James Cameron, Gore Verbinski, John Lasseter, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton, Tim Burton, Henry Selick, Sam Raimi, Chris Wedge, Carlos Saldhana, Nick Park, Peter Lord, David sproxton and many others. With the spirits of Alfred Hitchcock, Chuck Jones, Merran C Cooper and Walt Disney saluting it! That was just a joke I'm not sure EVERYONE I mentioned loved Shrek. But I'm sure most people did! Well I say it because (say it with Me.) SHREK IS LOVE, SHREK IS LIFE! 25:21

Hopefully with the upcoming Grand opening of "Universal's Epic Universe" maybe the new park will feature DreamWorks franchise based attractions focusing on the Dragons or the Trolls. Or maybe a theme land at the Florida park as well.
Do Captain EO.
EDIT: That intro you narrated was HILARIOUS!
Thanks great video
Best Intro Ever!!!!!
Well the franchise hasn't been completely dormant, the SHReK Franchise have been kept alive with the release of the spin-off "Puss In Boots" and it's serie "The Adventures of Puss in Boots" and in 2022 the spin-off would reserve it's own sequel "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish".
