- I tell the story of how I got the rarest Sonic plush in my collection, the Korean Sonic Heroes SOAP Shoes Sonic plush!
My favorite piece of merchandise of all time is undoubtedly the SEGA Prize SOAP Shoes Sonic The Hedgehog plush, that should be pretty obvious. Sonic is my favorite character, Sonic Adventure 2 is my favorite game, you get the idea. I've made several videos on him in the past, and in those videos I've detailed how the plush has actually been released several times, with one release being a pre-order bonus for Sonic Heroes in Korea. For years, I thought I would never find one for my collection - until now!
In this exciting sequel to my original how I got SOAP Sonic video, I talk about all of the events I've been through since then relating to this wacky plush, and of course how I managed to find a Korean Sonic. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll wonder why I'm so dedicated to a plush

One year after I got my original SOAP Shoes Sonic plush, the saga continues! That's right, against all odds, I now have a Sonic Heroes SOAP Sonic! The one that was a pre-order bonus in South Korea for Sonic Heroes in 2003-2004. He isn't in the best condition, but I cannot believe it actually happened. So, here's a whole video about how it happened! I go over all of the wacky adventures that have happened between my last SOAP Sonic video and now, hopefully this isn't the end!

Thank you all for your continued support throughout the past few years - it's what makes stuff like this video possible. I think, as unfortunate as it is that your SA2 Rouge is tagless, it's actually a blessing in disguise. The seller likely thought it was a Sonic X Rouge because they didn't have the tag to tell them what series it was from. If it still had the tag, it would have likely been listed for a much higher price once the seller knew what they had.

These Soap Shoes Sonic videos have definitely been inspiring for me. I've been on a quest to collect all merchandise of Luigi (at least with him solo though I do collect some stuff of him with Mario as well.) Specific merchandise of him that go for a lot that I hope to eventually get include the Mario Party 10 and KellyToy plush you've talked about as well as the Mario Kart UFO catcher plush, the giant 48 inch plush, the Mario Kart 64 Luigi action figure, the Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon diorama, and the Nintendo Power Luigi's Mansion action figure which I think it pretty much the holy grail as I never see if for less than $400 dollars.

You know, I don't like plushes, I don't buy pop culture merchandise, and I feel kinda silly about watching videos about toys on CZcams -- but for some reason I find your videos about searching for rare plushes so entertaining. The story of the hunt and your passion for collecting is infectious. I can't be the only one, right?
Because of you, I've decided to collect plushies, even if they are mostly anime ones. But recently, I remembered a game series I liked long ago, and sure enough, it had plushies, so I looked, and saw some for sale, and bought one (It was originally released as a preorder bonus for the game, as a blind box containing 2 possible plushies.)
But that's not all, I just won an auction for nearly a full set of the Japanese exclusively released ones for the price of 15000 Yen. It was a tough purchase, but it doesn't look like anyone has ever really talked about those plushies in English, so it looks like I will be the one to do that.
I discovered those ones existed from a Miitomo photo mode image of all places, so I searched for them on Yahoo Auctions. And less than a month after I first saw them, I found that auction!!

I had one until my dog ate it in 2017. It was my first sonic plush, so I searched on eBay. I found one and ...
It sold the next day but now in 2019 I found one and purchased it before I went to sleep.
It’s coming in the mail and it should be here tomorrow. I’m extremely happy and your the reason I’ve started collecting.

Your videos about your passion for collecting Sonic plushes actually inspired me to start both a NiGHTS collection and a Rappy(From Phantasy Star Online series) collection! I got all of them on a shelf in my room, and it makes me happy to get a new piece for either! Like you, I've got 3 plushes on my "Dream tier" list, and they're all original Phantasy Star Online 1 Rappy plushes that are super hard to find. It gives me hope that I'll be able to find them one day!

I remember when I was a little kid, I had one of the Sonic Soap Shoes Plush. I never learned of its rarity up until now. I have no idea which release it was, maybe the sonic heroes one because my dad owned a PS2 with Sonic Heroes as a game, but it could have been a coincidence. My mom threw the plush away with all of my other toys I had as a baby, which made me really mad when I saw this video lmao
God this video legitamately hurt to watch, as ive been through this EXACT SAME SITUATION. Though, it was a vinyl record rather than a plush. My alltime favorite album has only ever had 1 vinyl release, in Brazil, in 1995. It took me 2 years to find and the first 2 times I thought I found it, I was screwed over. And when I did find a copy, it was barely playable. I did wind up finding a fully playable copy a few months later, but I cant put into words how much sleep I lost during those 2 years. Also, I missed out on a signed copy of his previous album which is rare, but not as rare. I already had a copy of that one, but a signed one wouldve meant the world to me, as sadly the artist passed away in 1999. That one still hurts, still lose sleep over that one.

I’m not much of a collector, but I like to occasionally watch for muppet toys. A few years ago, I started collecting Palisades muppet figures for the electric mayhem band. My first figure was Clifford and the other band members (I don’t have Janice yet) were decent prices… except for the trumpeter, Lips.
Even with 3 variants, Lips was a rare figure from the last muppet wave. My mom and I always rechecked eBay whenever I saw a decent price for him, but so many auctions were bidding too high. I was still determined to find him though. For months, we were just like you losing hope that I could grab him, but on Christmas about 3 years ago, my last present was a package that had the Lips figure, in its box, that she bought in secret. I was practically crying because of how much our search paid off. But nobody can compare to the journeys you have for Sonic stuff!

I come back to this video a lot to keep myself motivated in finding the SA1 Sonic plush. I've been trying to find either that or the Sonic X version of the plush and either the price or the timing is always wrong, this video as well as the first video help me remember that I'll find it eventually.

Along with LSSQ, you two inspired me to start collecting plushies. Prior to finding those plushies vids, I’d say a few years ago, I would have brushed off even thinking about collecting plushies but now I’m hunting them down. More specifically, the Kellytoy Sonic set (of which I own Silver, got him for a decent price off eBay), Inuyasha, and Pokemon sets. I must thank both of you for changing my perspective of plushies and collecting them so ... thank you so much!!
