how to turnoff these headlights. You can see in video there is only auto / ON position but no OFF position. My car turns On lights even during cloudy weather when the lights are not needed but there is no way to turn them off. any ideas ?
Hi @asadpasha2785 - Some new models have an “off” mode and some don’t. For the vehicles that don’t have an off function, running lights will always be on. Consult your owners manual for more information.
Hi @madousona - sorry for the delayed response. As long as it's not an aftermarket FOB, it's best to visit your local Toyota dealer to help with this issue.
I have a question. I have the new Toyota corolla cross 2022. I have the auto high beams. Does this work the same way? It says something like turn the auto button on & then push the handle towards me. I cant really figure out how to use them. Thanks for the help.
My Highlander and Prius you turn on the auto button for automatic headlights and push the stalk forward and leave it that way. Normally that's what you would do to turn the high beams on if you weren't in the auto mode. Just push the stalk away from you.
Hi @isellorganic - Sorry for the delayed response! Press the Automatic High Beam switch. Turn the headlight switch to the high beam symbol or “AUTO” (if equipped) position. When the headlight switch lever is in the original position, the Automatic High Beam system will be enabled and the Automatic High Beam indicator will illuminate. Hope this helps!
why do manufacturers think we can't decide for ourselves when we have high beam lights or auto wipers? I decide when i want high beam and I decide when i use my wipers.
I'm amazed Toyota has not been hit with many lawsuits for the thousands of accidents caused by a headlight switch that lights the front end of the car with the back end totally dark. I only figured this out after seeing many Toyos after dark with no rear lights on, then I checked mine and sure enough I was doing it too. This is more than a dumb design.
very helpful thanks
Thank you very much
My 2017 Toyota Yaris does not have auto printed on the lever.
Thanks
Bonjour comment vous allez
I can't get the manual high beams to come on on my 2022 Corolla
Hi @robd1859 Sorry for the delayed response - With the headlights on, push the lever away from you to turn on the high beams

Depends where you live, certain places require running lights to be on at all times
