Your birds look great. I like the raised flooring too. I’m in the making of a new coop right now and now that you mentioned it I might need to raise the roof a bit more for make me fit. Always enjoy your content Adrian keep it up.
Don’t think twice, raise the floors. A good friend started having breathing issues and was told to get rid of the birds. Raised his floors and no more problems. He kept a clean loft but all the dust that kicks up when the birds fly around stared affecting his lungs. The raised floors provide a dead air space and keeps the dust waaaaay down.
great job. yes keeping the pigeons from making contact with their dropping really improves their health. I went from wood floo to expended wire mesh. very costly but the health of my pigeons improved so much. Again great jod on your renovation.
Hi Bud it came out great very nice job we are pouring more concrete behind the loft this weekend then I will start building the new fly pen for the loft I am glad to see you are using the floor dry it will really keep your loft dry and really keep down problems for you
I plan on using the plastic grates like small loft. (if they ever come back in stock) I will have to be quick because once everyone sees your video, everyone will want the raised floor and they will sell out again. Looks great.
Hi Adrian , Do you have vents under the dropping area? i saw in the video that youve installed vents around. is it above the level of the grate floor? . Thanks again
Hi Adrian, i have also raised floor on my flyers loft, however im having issue with mould building up on the dropping under. what can resolved it. thanks
I use a natural clay based floor dry from tractor supply. I clean everything and put a lite layer of floor dry down. That helps dry the droppings. Under the perches where the dropping are the most I remove that often but it’s should still be together dry. Make sure the birds are healthy and the droppings are solid. You may have an issues with the health and not the floors. And remember as long as it’s dry it’s ok for the birds.
Absolutely not lol. The furring strips I used were rounded and pretty smooth. My buddy used expanded metal for his floors and the birds feet are always so cold. It’s shocking, middle of the summer and there feet are cold. Wood or plastic is the way to go.
How are the young birds doing my friend I finally have all 70 or so birds sent out to the races and have my first group getting use to the racing loft and all the last round are hatching now
Great job Adrian, vert clean and thought out loft
What an envy ! So..! Awesome and preety Loft! Congrats!!!!!

I need this in my life. Those floors make your loft look 100x more professional and clean.
There are worth the effort without question.

Hi from philipines nc job
Hi Adrian , Do you have vents under the dropping area? i saw in the video that youve installed vents around. is it above the level of the grate floor? . Thanks again
No not under, the floor was done after the loft was built. So the vents are alittle lower but mostly blocked off by the base of the floor
The floor looks amazing! Are you thinking about training tosses soon?
Not till their off the dark system
Couple more weeks and it’s down the road
@@AdrianP_loft can't wait to see it! How's that bird from Christian bunzilla?
Good man. I split the pair so we’ll see how they breed this year. If its the cock or the hen that’s breeding better

@@AdrianP_loft thanks adrian
You can try using those security screws, tamper resistant screws.
I did think about that, thanx for the suggestion
Are you worried about getting slivers in the birds feet or any thing like that?
Absolutely not lol. The furring strips I used were rounded and pretty smooth. My buddy used expanded metal for his floors and the birds feet are always so cold. It’s shocking, middle of the summer and there feet are cold. Wood or plastic is the way to go.
What flooring is that
I built them myself. I posted a video on how I built them. Check a few videos back.
What material is under the raised floor dirt floor or wood!!
Thanks
Wood. You don’t want a dirt floor to much humidity and you will hve respiratory problems
I was thinking thanks!!
I'm going to be getting into pigeons and looking at different lofts for some tips!! What height shall I build it??
Now too tall. You don’t want birds flying over ur head. Can fly into your face and scratch you up
How many inches is from base floor to raised floor??
The floor grates are on 2 by 6 but I would go even bigger if u can.
Use self tapping screws
Does this mean no cleaning?
I clean it twice a year. It’s the best upgrade I have ever done both for me and the birds. They are always clean, and no more crap under my shoes lol
so your poop will fall in between or to the ground?
Raise floor with the bottom open so the poop falls to the ground outside
The loft is not open to the outside. Under the grates is the loft floor.
How much you spend?
I would say about 120-130 for both lofts, but with the price of wood today it’s might be tripple that now.
Are You thinking to race your birds ! ??
I do race. See my other videos
@@AdrianP_loft Ohj! Yes!! Sorry! I forgot to Say soon??

They are good and starting to fly well, next week its time to take them down the road, a quick mile to see how they do.
