- I filmed and edited this film for North Yorkshire Police for them to use as part of a Student Officer recruitment drive. Featuring interviews with three different officers, it gives a flavour of what it means to be an officer in North Yorkshire.

Great informational video. The police recruitment process can be very tough if you're not fully prepared and there is an automatic 6 month wait before you can reapply so knowing your stuff is absolutely essential. Learning and understanding the core competencies is absolutely paramount
UK Police Officer Recruitment Process Training I agree, I put so much hard work in, passed the assessment. I’m having my medical done and then finally fitness test. Should be starting early May.

when was this recruitment? im wanting to apply for the police and want to know when the next nyp one will be apparently its usually august / october time but i cant find out anywhere
I’m pretty sure applications open during July. You’ll have to keep an eye out.
their are 2 applications going now but be quick their going fast I applied last month.
Why police force does not consider SIA private security people to police force academy.!!!??? why do they always reject private security people for police force job!!? please reply
Because the powers that come with being a police officer conflict with the SIA. You cannot use police powers while under SIA.
Where is the firearm?
Bryant da Silva Only specially trained firearms officers carry guns in the UK, regular police officers don't. They carry tasers, batons and pepper spray instead

The UK police don’t need firearms to deal with threats. They are trained to defuse situations with the least casualties as possible.
