क्या गाड़ी में अलग-अलग कंपनी का पेट्रोल डलवाना चाहिए? | Can we fill different company fuel in vehicle

All of you know about so many types of petrol available in the market for your motorcycle and car. Octane rating reflects the quality, purity, refinement, efficiency and heat bearing capacity of petrol. Hence we have different grades of Petrol for different uses ranging for your bikes to spacecrafts. You see crude oil is the raw material for petrol and from it, various derivatives are extracted. The finer and refined the derivative, the better the quality and efficiency of the fuel. So from crude oil there are various stages of refining extraction done that results in so many varieties of fuels with higher Octane ratings.
The various Octane ratings of petrol are 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 93 and 97, which symbolize purity and refinement in increasing order. On one end we have 87 octane which you use for your bike as unleaded and on the other extreme we have 97 octane which fuels the super bikes sold in India as Speed 97. So High Octane fuels are expensive because of high levels of refinement.
In India, companies like BPCL, IOC, HPCL, IBP red and Shell etc supply you with varieties of fuel to power your bike. The high octane fuels have additives like friction busters which may not suit your bike, plus higher octane rating means more heat is developed in the engine which is not good for your bike’s engine. So the next time you think of filling your bike with Xtrapremium or Speed consult your dealer if it is advisable to use higher-octane petrol. Due to the additives there could be clutch slippage or slow damage to your bike’s engine over repeated usage, so enquire properly before you fill fuel the next time.

My dad works in HPCL (chembur refinery) and I know, the refinery is modern and lab tests are continuously done to measure quality. Fuel from refinery is always good... Impurities are added afterwards at petrolpump by dealer...

Then tell your dad that HPCL petrol pump dealers are their subsidiaries and thus dealership too needs to be modern and must be regularly tested for malpractises and impurities.
HPCL sounds like PM Narendra Modi proclaiming that he is the Messiah but the Chief Ministers are corrupt.

लीटर क्लास or हाई cc के इंजन्स में हमेशा हाई ऑक्टेन (97) वाले फ्यूल डलवाये जाते है, बाकी किसी भी बाइक्स में नॉर्मल फ्यूल डलवाये, हाँ ये बात भी सही है नॉर्मल बाइक्स में अगर हाई ऑक्टेन फ्यूल डलवाते है तो पॉवर तो जरूर इनक्रीज होते है, 👍💐

To achieve desire octane number refinery also mix different hydrocarbons. Mixing fuel doesn't affect engine life. Just don't get desired results after paying more for premium fuel. Technically it's not wrong to mix.

Bhai mein apne bike mein aise bohat Baar dala hun xtra premium normal mix hone ke baad b Kuch farak nehi padta . Ulta xtra daalne ke baad aur jyada smooth ho jata hai aur engine sound b kaam ho jata hai.

Never use extra premium or speed like petrol it's just wastage of money. For nolmar bike normal petrol is required.

Normal petrol is always good for longer engine life. Although engine performance increases, in reality, the speed/xtra premium/power have higher percentage of ethanol. Ethanol can cause engine burns or more commonly engine errosion. in short piston can get damaged easily.

Maine pata kiya tha, normal petrol ka octane rating 91 tha. BP, HP aur IOCL tino me hi pata kara. Baaki speed/power/xtrapremium me sirf additive hi daalte hai. High octane rating fuel alag se aata hai, lekin woh sirf special type me hi available hai (power/speed97, etc).

Bilkul sahi kaha. HP ka mujhe bhi saho feel hua. By default mai 30L (3 tank fill) tak normal petrol phir 20L (2 tank fill) power petrol dalwaata hu, service se pehle normal me switch kar leta hu. Lekin swith karne se pehke tank almost empty karke dusra petrol dalwaata hu. Long rides me mai power petrol hi use karta hu jisse ignition sahi se ho aur knocking ua pre ignition na ho. kyuki long rides me heat zyada hota hai, jisse knocking ya pre ignition ke chances zyada hote hai.

Suppose I use Xtra Premium from Indian Oil. I went to visit a place where I have to fill Xtra premium petrol from Indian Oil. But that visiting place's Indian Oil buys/brings fuel from nearby HP refinery. Can I do that? Will that be a problem?
