There are two ways to select units: either by health (green = good health, yellow = injured, red = critically injured) or by veterancy (green = no rank, veteran = one chevron, heroic = 3 chevrons). For some reason, they aren't assigned to any key. They are a good way to quickly select, for example, only the most injured units so they can be removed from the battle and get treated, or select the heroic units if you want for other units to also raise their ranks. I've found that the I and U keys work for me for selections.

So to test, center on his base on screen, press ctrl+f1 (there are 2~3 more positions you can save (f2-3) like on your Allies & stuff), scroll somewhere else, then press f1 & it will take you to his base -helps you multitask. & you can go to your base easily by pressing H. A lot like grouping units, only with screens (f1-f3.) Also I learnt a lot from you, especially force firing on Ores to clear them out ! :]

'y' is useful for selecting veteran units from a group to make the non veterans deliver the last hit with y+s. either 'y' or 'u' i don't remember but i think it's 'y' and space to teleport to last notification some prople use 'h' to teleport to home location

Pro usually edit the keys you can do it in cncnet options tab, for example they remplace the 1,2,3,4 numbers for group units for f1,f2,f3,f4 and use the 1,2,3,4 for make special groups, split of seal flank and distraction tactics.
Can you select Harriers from your base and put them in Guard mode(so when enemy is approaching or attacking buildings in your base they automaticaly fly over their tanks and bomb it)?I tried but it doesn't work except if edited in RulesMD
