Loved this video. Like all of us who drive stock Elements, the only thing many of us don't like is the lack of clearance and how that limits where we can go. Great to see the capabilities of these modified rigs.
Thank you! I was honestly impressed my self I did not know the Honda element was so capable definitely getting a 2 inch lift soon.
My Element has a 2 inch lift and 215/85 r16 Toyo M55s (10 ply), which is the absolute biggest diameter tire that will fit in the wheel wells with some minor modifications (grinding down pinch welds). I think it could handle everything in this video (maybe not the hill at the end). If Honda ever rereleases the Element I would definitely like to see more offroad capability: a v6 (or 8) as standard with some lower gears and a proper 4 wheel drive instead of "all wheel drive" (aka front wheel drive with real wheel assist). That would literally be my dream car for what I do.
That sounds like exactly what I’d want to. Thanks for watching!
I love my Element so much, there is no way I would do any of this kind of off roading with it. It is my winter wheels here in Canada and I plan to have it a very long time. Right now it is garaged and is on summer holidays. It is a grey metallic 2008 ex awd manual. Simply one of the best car ever made imo! It has 202,000 kilometres on it's way to 400,000.
I know what you mean. I love my Honda element too. It’s cool to know I could do it if I wanted to. Thanks for watching!
So awesome! Thanks for capturing the footage and sharing with the rest of us! Love this content!!!
I’m super glad to hear man it was a cool opportunity to film with these guys happy to help
YES!!!!!!!!! This is what I needed today. As an offroad Element owner, I always wanted a video like this. I commend you good sir!
Glad you liked it!
Great edit and shooting Stephen! Super fun day getting out on the trail with you guys. I'm glad you were able to be with us to capture it and weigh the pros and cons!
Yeah thanks for letting me ride shot gun and not getting us shot while being ambushed! 😅
I have a bone stock '08 Mazda Tribute fwd 2.3 four banger that I take off roading. Absolutely no modifications done to it. I took it around Hidden Falls Adventure Park, and the trails of Bastrop with no problems. You can do this kinda stuff with just about any suv really.
Fun stuff.
The lift definitely helped but it was the tires that made the difference it looks like on the hill climb.
That pre-runner front is so sick too.
Yeah he built that whole front end himself! So cool 😎
I just bought a 2007 Element EX, Silver just like the one in this video with only 100k miles on it. This inspires me to get out there and explore with it!
Congrats my dude!!! Welcome to the fam. If you haven’t already check out his build on my channel it’s really tasteful 👍
Very good video! Shows that a modded out Honda Element can go in most places a Jeep can go.
Now all they need to do is make some sort of locker for the rear axle and these things will go anywhere. 2005 EX owner, lifted and loving it!
Great video Honda elements are awesome
Thank you so much I feel the same, and they’re even more capable than I originally thought.
Awesome video. Gives me more confidence to drive my Honda Element off road lol where were you guys at? Trails look cool
This is in Joshua Tree! Send it man just don’t get shot at like we did lol
The green one squeaks as bad as my '03, but I still love it!
This was fun to watch please be careful of flying bullets 😁💜😘
I’ll do my best to avoid those in the future 😅
Both elements look great but I would definitely go with Steve's element it looks very stealthy.
Same I’m digging Stephen’s Element
I have always liked the Element because my mother owns a 2004 Element. It has always had a unique feel and look. Driving the Element is always fun.
That being said, I am not sure whether to laugh or to cry at videos like this one. The Element is underpowered, is of unibody construction, and was not designed fore aggressive off-read performance. Modifying an Element is tantamount to modify my Nissan Rogue. It is a non-starter.
To be serious about going off-road, you need a serious vehicle. For me the serious vehicle is a 2021 Tundra.
Would a 4spd automatic AWD element do ok in this environment?
Really great drone piloting
Thank you, Broski. JR took off before I was ready to. Lol.
what head unit is that??
Makes me want an element for a hauler/camper/light off-roader
You should definitely get one dude!
Desconocía que tan buena era esa camioneta, me ha sorprendido.
I've been following the green one for a bit. Hopefully my mods will work out lol I have no idea what I'm doing lol 😂
Hell yeah this is what’s sup I do this in oregon with my element
Bro one day I will make it up there and let’s film your element in the wild
I'm not into rock crawling but I would love it if someone made rock sliders for these for a little protection and jack points.
man great vid Stephen. man so you prefer the ride quality on Stephen's Oem shocks vs the flatout? rode smoother huh?
For like average daily driving activities and light off-roading yes I would say swift springs & oem shocks is just fine
I need more details - is it just a better value for light duty use, or is there something actually preferable about the cheaper one? Is the Flatout rig running without swaybars, is the 4" lift running without drops, or is there something else with the suspension? Or is it just those tires?
Does removing the front bumper on that green Element make a difference? Seems like there is still entirely too much structure there..
Did you remove the fuel tank guard for more clearance?
On the green one? I’ll ask
What psi were ya’ll running? asking for a friend.
Good question, I don’t remember. Next time we do a video like this I’ll be sure to note it.
These cars are so nifty, they just didn't do well since they were expensive and people didn't like how they look. I think they have character since they look different.
I wish i kept mine. it was already painted in linex.
amazing!!!! could list all the upgrades/mods pls?
Sure, I can do that. I also left links down in the description for most of the gear.
Who makes the rear lower control arms?
Element44 workshop the owner of the Green element in this video. Best to reach out to him on Instagram
Where is that hill located?
Joshua Tree!
Love my element ex awd.
me 2 =)
does the guy with the silver E have a page? I'd like some info on his interior mods
Yes! It’s silver.line.e on Instagram
@@StephenAldaco thank you!!
A live on Miami Florida, a luking for one Honda element, you not have contact on this side, atte javier
Haven't been on that side of the US yet good luck hopefully something pops up for you soon!
I don't recall you mentioning if they are front wheel drive or AWD?
Everyone has awd in this video
They modified an Element to travel the entire Silk Road in Asia. Not many cars can do that. I've always wondered what mods were done to it. If anyone knows, drop it below. Thanks.
Gotta look this up thanks for sharing
Monster truck element ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
That’s right! Element44
Dude this was so much fun! Was this the Joshua tree day ?
Yeah dude this was the day you left I think!
@Stephen Aldaco I missed out this was alot of fun to watch man 🙌
How would elements go away when People are so infatuated with them ?
Wasn’t always the case. Sales were so low compared to the CRV. Maybe one day we will get a new element but unlikely.
I’m going to be buying an AWD Honda Element soon. Selling/trading my JDM RHD 1993 Toyota estima mid engine 4wd 2.2l turbo diesel to get it. I love my JDM van but I don’t want to damage anything off road and be stuck in the middle of nowhere unable to get parts
1 and 2 is my daily road arround my village, and im driving suzuki wagon r wide in that kind of road even worst, front wheel drive and no one can compare this car, you guys should try and test ur self, wagon r wide
We’re both of them elements AWD ?
yes sir!
What would it take to just drive up the hill without all the drama? Say, 10 mph or less.
like most people that owned one ,wish they still had it
it called backstop and you prolly drove where you should not have
Lol good on you for having fun out there but come on guys take a lesson on off road driving
Who wouldn’t want to do a K24A2 swap?
It’s really fun it makes a huge difference!
This vehicles are not meant for this abuse. Yes they can but they break prematurely
So No one gonna mention the Green element had Highway Tread Tires????
Better mpg?? Lol
@@StephenAldaco I’m all for squeezing every mpg out a element but to build a custom one of a kind off-road element and our H/T tread is counterintuitive. Have two sets of tires, one for off-road and one for the road. Grip is so important
@@digiforce The reason he's using those tires is due to the size. He's running 215/85R16 (~31") which is incredibly rare for a passenger load tire. If there were better options, no doubt he'd be running an all terrain tread pattern
😂 #shitbox. If you want to go off road buy a real 4by4. Element is for driving through tge Walmart parking lot with 3 inches of snow.
😅😅😅 love our shit boxes
Lifting my E after seeing Element 44 & the silver lining set up. 😎🫡
Same here 2 inch lift an element44 everything
