Ironically the the M3 did exactly what the competition is rated at... 510hp/ps/pk is 503bhp. BMW are legends.

BMW rates their hp like all manufacturers should. You actually get what you pay for.
Using a correction factor skews the results. Modern turbo cars (well, their ECU) already adjust for atmospheric conditions so that they always rated power regardless of the weather and altitude. So for turbocharged cars you need to dyno with correction OFF and for naturally aspirated engines it must be ON. Otherwise you're putting a correction on top of a correction and the less optimal the conditions the more inflated the dyno HP number gets. *note: doesn't really work for tuned cars as they tend to be run closer to the limit and at reduced thermal efficiency of the charge system which means they don't always have the necessary headroom to correct.

Just for reference Pure Turbos have stated a few times that these modern cars are only losing 9-10% through the driveline.

Why are you doing corrected Engine power? We want to see wheel HP. From your corrections you are using I can make a 400whp look like 550.
Cause that’s how car makers measure their engines. It was impossible for this car to make less than 530HP, it’s just too fast
@@TheLOL4DUDE NOT AT ALL. They put the engine on a dyno not car. This is stupid to do engine corrected because very hard to be accurate with drivetrain lost, Totally pointless. Like I said I could make my adjustments whatever to make it seem higher.

The crank HP figures aren’t accurate only the whp which is 466whp. He’s saying that the real crank calculation for modern cars in 10% so 466 x 1.10 = 512hp at the crank.

-G82 M4 produces 545hp. Claimed 501hp
-F82 M4 produces 480hp. Claimed 450 HP
(from dyno tests)
Difference of 65hp but 130kg heavier. Watch carwow to see how evenly matched it is

Trashla’s do one thing very well go from 0-120 mph fast. Other than that they are heavier than comparable ic cars, excite the sense of your ass but not your ears, your nose. They are underbraked. Build quality is atrocious compared to Lexus, bmw, and Audi and the really fast ones… model S/S plaid are also very expensive.
