It’s crazy how long Ernie has been in media, he covered Shaq in college and now they’re on Inside the NBA together 😳
I was just thinking the same thing dam he been here and still here wow
The Elevator been doin it.
You said it brother!
Not really
*DO ONE ON ERNIE!*
And Shaq achieved all of this without a jumpshot or a free throw skills. What a guy.
Well he was a CENTER, but I get what you’re saying
Shaq was phenomenal
Great point. If he was decent (not good just decent) we’re seriously talking shaq > MJ and possibly bron as GOAT
@@Rossco1003 he said that he left around 7k points in just free-throw alone ........ imagine that
@@pollomaniac You could probably argue that a lot of that is getting Hack a Shaq'd and if he was decent at FT than that number may not be that big.
Raises a classic debate: is a player better if he’s great at everything or singularly incredible at a few things. If Shaq win a little more and cleaned up his weak spots, he’d have a real case for goat.
That last image of Kobe and shaq hugging after the buzzer sounds for the 2000 Lakers Championship is by far the most heart warming and unforgettable images in NBA history
Tim, Manu, and Tony, 4 rings.
Shaq said he'll cherish that moment for the rest of his life.
Jordan fist pump
He is a once in a lifetime human being. So big, so funny, so humble, kind, generous, talented. What a great human. I don’t think anyone can say they dislike him.
Javale McGee.
He really was a once in a lifetime guy. Very unique and not just for his size. Amazing person, good heart, so glad I got to follow him all his career
hes petty af lol tf you saying
he is definitely not humble lol
that's cause he went to fulda high school in Germany
Shaq was and still is a once in a lifetime phenomenon

more like once in history...
there will never be another superman 🦸♂️
Wish Zion appreciated his path. NBA would be more appealing. Glad Warriors won.
@@user-bv5ng5jm5r there is a man & he wears a bucks jersey 💪🏽
Shaq is definitely one of those players that you wish you could’ve seen in their prime.
Joseph shows that so well, can’t miss with his videos
I’m so glad I grew up in the 90’s. He’s one NBA player that lived up to his Superman tattoo.
My first NBA game was Lakers /Spurs and I stood next to David Robinson, then ten minutes later I looked skyward and dear lord.. you have no idea how big humans get sometimes. Saw a lot of Shaq as a rival. Monster on the court, gentleman and manchild in life. Helluva
He made one big mistake. Never mentioned Phil Jackson effect. Both Shaq and Kobe went for 1-8 against Malone-Stockton in 1997 and 1998 playoffs. They were also swept by San Antonio in 99. Phil and Tex came in 1999/00 and they immediately won the title.
I did and he was the greatest player in his time and Mj was before him if I have to pick the best center of all time I have to say Shaq just because of what he did on the court the way he did it of course we have Kareem and wilt but imagine these two went against Shaq
I did see him 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Shaq was beautiful. Us Laker fans were truly blessed to have him in his prime.
Whoever makes these documentaries should have his own t.v. show. They are the best sports documentaries you could ever watch.
A great man. Great human being. Loved this. He could have been on Jordan’s and Kobe’s level if he had pushed himself a lot harder in between seasons. I guess he’d made so much money by 24 it didn’t really matter anymore.
If he'd pushed that hard, the NBA would've had to change the entire ruleset at some point 💀
There are players that will always be compared to Jordan, Kobe, and Lebron. There will not be any Shaq comparisons at all....ever

Wilt pulling Shaq off balance when they shook hands (wilt was like 50, shaq was like 25) was the funniest shit. The look on Shaq's face like he'd been done dirty (which he had) was priceless.
Shaq was the reason I started playing basketball. I was kinda big big among my peers and was very shy. I was not very agile like others but seeing Shaq on t.v dominating the court it motivates me. I worked hard mimicking Shaq's moves. Almost was always the highest scorer in my high school team. Thanks to our p.g for noticing whenever I was open. 🤭

He may be the nicest superstar who has ever lived.
And I promise you one thing, in his prime, he was TRULY unstoppable.
I stopped him ………in an arm wrestling match in 1998 . It was 155 pounds vs 320 I was the N.Y lightweight champion at the time. He wasn’t to happy btw afterwards ,he’s as advertised super strong . 😂💪

Not even biggest basketball fan but already know this gonna be great Mr Vincent never misses
I am watching this because of shaq
Facts bro 🔥🔥🔥this channel been goated
The first 10 years of Shaq's NBA career are so incredible that it is the reason why Rodman shutting him down in the '96 playoffs is such a legendary moment in the history of the league; it's a real David and Goliath moment.
Man, the memories. Thanks for the goosebumps Mr. Vincent. Nobody does it better. SHAQ-FU 4 LIFE
Shaq was cut from a different cloth. He will always remain a national treasure.
He was cut from a cloth that weighed 320 and was 7'2"
Agree, he was a once in a lifetime person not just athlete.
A very big cloth
So heartwarming to see young Ernie talking about how great young Shaq is
Now they talk basketball and laugh together. What a life 💪🏽
I will never forget watching him come into the league and DOMINATE inside the paint. He shocked us all when he physically BROKE the ENTIRE Basketball rim & the steel frame 😳 that held the entire thing together. He shut the game down literally. This was another amazing film 🎥 bro. Bloody fantastic.. I enjoyed EVERY second of this. When Shaq finally came to the LAKERS I got a chance to go to a game & it's a memory I will cherish forever. He was enormously massive in real life & in person right in front of you. Shaq was one of those ONCE in a lifetime Centers ..Shaq's peers said it best.. Coming out of LSU & into the NBA Shaq had it all.... POWER ..SPEED.. AGILITY.. FINESS.. STYLE..CHARISMA.. DOMINANCE.. CONFIDENCE.. & FREAKISH STRENGTH that the NBA had never witnessed before. It was a honor to watch him play during his career. ✌🏽
Shaq was so agile in his Orlando days…if he would’ve worked out and stayed in better shape like Kobe said he would’ve been even more dominant 💪🏾
He'd probably be the best ever. Practice free throws and stay in shape , he's all time points leader . Alternative timeline. He's already considered an all time great. Top 10 for just about everyone now. Not many other all time greats had 8 years of lazy play in their career
Shaq was the most physically dominant force we’ve ever seen on the basketball court. You aren’t taller than him, you aren’t as strong as him, he’s was
scary quick for a man his size. That’s a recipe for domination.
Wilt Chemberlain?
Don’t forget his passing from the post as well
Zion could of been like him if he followed shaqs foot steps
@@jordanzdebski5132 ahh i see what you mean, but i still dont think there is a comparison. if you take " on the basketball court" as just that, that eliminates all the stories about wilt benching 500lbs and all his other feats of agility and strength. and i hate to be that guy that mentions the different eras, but wilt did play during a significantly different era. he seemed more agile on the court than shaq and put up crazy numbers, but as far as " the most physically dominant force", physical being the key word, i dont think wilt is in the same convo shaq. theyre just not the same type of center. im not saying ones better than the other, but the eye test, as it applies to the game, shaq was way more physically dominant during a time with arguably more players of equal strength and talent
Yeah but the late great Bill Russel would have owned him like Ben Wallace did in the 2004 Finals. You can bet your bottom dollar on that.
If he had the crazy drive like Kobe or Mike, Shaq would be the greatest of all time. This man was UNSTOPPABLE. Should have more then 1 MVP on his resume.
Idk that much about basketball but ik that Kobe over trained a ton if what people say is true. If shaq trained that stupidly he might have got an injury bad enough to take him out of the sport.
People seem to forget how good Shaq was. The most dominant player in NBA history. His early 2000’s play was just unbelievable. He was the undeniable mvp to a team that won 3 titles and had Kobe Bryant. I remember him putting up
40 and 15 in pretty much every playoff game for 3 straight years
Shaq brother we all miss him, it's okay to cry for the ones we admire. You two made a great legacy in history!
Shaq is one of the few NBA players in history that could claim the title of being the baddest and not much could disagree. Respect to him as a player and Businessman. He really should be a standard in certain regards
Facts🔥🔥… bars lol
Wilt Chamberlin enters the chat
Yea he has a claim as well. Chamberlain is a top guy, with Jordan bird magic Shaq kobe Duncan. I'd add olajuwon. And bill Russell
No one was scared of Shaq beating them with skill. They knew they had no chance against him if the refs weren’t going to call offensive fouls on him.
Like Micheal Jordan wasn't a business man???
I have waited for this video for a long time
I'm glad it's finally here 🔥

Documentaries like this are so important because the youth don’t understand how dominant players like Shaq were in the prime of their career. His finals averages are insane.

Absolutely, he got fat in his Lakers years.
@@hectorlopez1069 he got too comfortable at LA he declined very rapidly as soon as he was traded.

As dominant a sportsman as he was, Shaq's greatest attributes are his personality and his brain. A truly, truly remarkable and inspirational guy. Could listen to him talk for hours.

Kobe was brutaly honest and right when he said if Shaq has the same work ethic as him, Shaq easily could be the greatest of all time.
After their 3peat championship, Shaq's face tells it all. It looks like if you are so successful and no team can stop you at all, it gets you bored. I literally imagine what will happen if Shaq has the same work ethic as Kobe, maybe LeBron and Wade's career or even Celtics will be over shine by Kobe and Shaq.
