After the announcement of the Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update for xbox, ps5 and PC we have an update from the FOLN Fallout London mod team on the new release date for Fallout London. Unforuatly due to the nature of the Fallout 4 Next Gen upgrade and the knock on effects it will have on F4 script extension mods, the Fallout London team has decided that it would be best to delay the release of fallout 4 London until after their able to fix the inevitable issues that come from Bethesda's next gen update for Fallout 4. We also got some information about where to download the new fallout London mod and why its not coming to consoles.

The voice cast for Fallout London looks great too - Neil Newbon (Astarian from Baldur's Gate 3), Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker (both who played Doctor Who) among others. Not bad for a free mod made by fans?

@@Cold_Cactus Well there is almost certainly a London in the Fallout universe. Its the perfect setting for a large mod project like this. There have been a few people like you who can't wrap their heads around it but most of us understand that no mod is cannon but we are looking forward to this mod.

I hate to be that person, but I just feel like Bethesda probably released this update simply to hamper the release of fallout London. And how they are at Bethesda, it would not surprise me the least bit if this were the case. Anything unofficial that doesn’t make them a lot of money that may garner attention towards their game is something they don’t like or want to.

@@luna3983 I better check if I have the right one then I have the right one but I didn't realize how outdated my graphics card is. Fallout on my computer can only handle low graphics but it should be fine

After playing We Happy Few, I got a huge urge to play Fallout in a similar setting. I hope these guys are able to work through this setback, and use it is as an opportunity to exploit any new capabilities as they see fit.

In the video, they said, "if we get lucky, it might be 48 hours, or it might be a month." I thought those guesses were extremely optimistic.
23rd next year and this will happen again but it'll be a starfield nothingburger patch with just enough 'quest crash fixes experienced by some users' to warrant updating the exe.
Yeah they have something like 200 mods from other producers to make sure all are compatible with the new update before they even see if they can re-integrate everything into their mod.
It really depends on how much stuff bugthesda breaks with the update. F4SE will certainly be broken, but that usually gets fixed fairly quickly.
Bethesda released their update after a year delay, an update with no actual changes, specfically to break this mod

Id rather turn off updates for Fallout 4, and have London, than Bethesda's bs "Next Gen" update.
Facts. There’s a ton of morons who apparently don’t know how modding works and what’s in the update. The update was meant more for consoles so the pc players in the know wasn’t planning on updating to begin with. Now not only is it delayed but we’re forced to break all of our mods and update to this trash version 🤦🏾♂️
@mackdaddypeypey1 Not everyone is a pc player. I play my Fallout 4 with my PS5, and IM glad for this update. So please understand, yes, I know. The modes Broken can be a pain in a**, but please understand others as well.

@@cattledog901 Because a lot of modders do it. A lot of Minecraft mods don't even work with current update you have to rollback 3-4 years to get them to work.
@@antisbuster6296 Fortunately for Minecraft its easy to get specific versions of it, right in the launcher. That is not the case for Fallout though.
I'm looking forward to the Unofficial Fallout 4 Downgrade Patcher to be created. The one for Skyrim Special Edition was a lifesaver.
Just as a heads up. You need the base game and all the DLCs to make the mod work (when it’s re-ready for release)

I appreciate the update … a lot.
But one small suggestion is to scale back the music volume/loudness. Gets in the way of your voice some. Not huge, but I think just a little less music would help.
Xbox and Bethesda should just get that team together and pay them to make this a full-on dlc for both PC and Xbox. I would definitely pay twenty-five USD for this.
You can't for console it's 30-40gb DLC
@RealAaron317 Yes, with all the mods that they are using to make Fallout London, it would be impossible with the limited space for mods on Xbox. That is why if Bethesda made it an actual expansion, that would eliminate the issue because it would be considered DLC and not a bunch of mods.

Nah no malice at all. Bethesda always give modders early notice, especially the script extender. Unfortunately, truth is they can't let their business be dictated by mods. They want to release their next gen version as quickly as they can thanks to the success of the show and wanna capitalize on that.
It sucks but literally every single game that has mods, has many mids that break with updates. Cyberpunk, the Witcher 3, skater xl. It's just the nature of it. Either way it'll be a small delay, they are obviously gonna update the script extender stuff needed. And Bethesda always gives early builds to the script extender team so most likely already have the next gen update build.

Also no. There are indeed game studios boasting very active mod scenes that closely work together with their communities each time updates roll out. Stardew Valley being one of the most famous (and beloved) examples. But Bethesda? Pure malice.

That's why mods are called mods because they're modifications, Bethesda doesn't do modifications no one does. They update their game and re compile it just like everybody else. And yes they do give early builds to the script extender team so they can start working on updates to their script extender.

p.s. I have replaced everything but my main board a mem sticks(thanks to @LaterTazor ) lol but hands down loved my apex when i bought and received it. Kept all original parts for a year and was happy, no issues at all... And also amazing service (voice call/email/or discord) all around great company and great pcs!!!!

Have asked in several places and yet to get an answer. When FOLON drops what will you need to download. Will it be ALL INCLUSIVE and include the script extender, will it be a one download, or will the F4SE have to updated and installed before you download FOLON?

Man I sure would love it if Fallout: London became official canon somehow. It looks that good to me. Also we never really heard much about the European Commonwealth only it's mention in Fallout 1 if I remember correctly. Let me know if I'm wrong on that.

It really doesn't make any sense, for Bethesda not to hype this mod more, their games are completely reliant on the modding community to survive. And the amount of goodwill they would create from players if they helped launch this, in some small way. (like Enderal)
The only reason I can see for them NOT to do this, is if the game has very controversial themes. Which I highly doubt.

Modding fallout 4 with vortex instead of simply using the mod hub is difficult lol. Sometimes I simply can’t get it to work because it says whatever mods I’m installing aren’t working with the script extender or something along those lines. It’s been a minute
Eh, nothing surprising. At least they're delaying the release rather than release it and have it break 2 days later. I remember when I tried getting back into Skyrim last year and was able to enjoy about 2-3 days of modded gameplay before that damned update got released and I had to wait about 2 weeks for at least the essential mods to work again.

No they delayed it so they can release it on the next gen update version of the game. If they were to release it on the old version you just use a downgrade patcher similar to the one for skyrim

Really hope the depth/quality of the game is up there with Enderal. Personally never am bothered by delays given how many broken and unplayable games there are released nowadays. Gotta be patient for quality.
This mod should be sold as a standalone expansion "un-official" but fully supported by bethesda, this is on the same level of hearts of stone and blood and wine as well phantom liberty from cd project, all fallout fans deserve experience this.

Hello I just wanted to let you know is anybody that download any mods before the Maintenance it will still work while it is under going maintenance you will not be able to download any new mods until they get down also after they are done with the maintenance I can test it out to see if any external mod like with vortex mod manager will still work for free
Makes more sense to spend the time to reduce dependencies.

I unfortunately only play games on consoles so I was very upset about hearing that it’s just for PC. What would be great is if Bethesda actually helped the creators of Fallout London with making the game console playable or at least help them with the updates to apologize for messing up their schedule.
If it's already done, why don't they just release it? And the people that didn't update will have fallout, london and be happy. Then they can come back later. And maybe fix it for the next-gen Update, but if you have mods, you don't need the next-gen. update.
The worst bit of news I've had in a while lol. Had holidays to use up, booked the week off of the 23rd of April and bought a brand new top of the range PC. Some dose hearing this was delayed.

Surely they could require people to use the last gen version until the mod is fixed. I always disable auto update on my Fallout and Skyrim when playing with mods to prevent mods from breaking. It's not ideal but you can usually get the old .exe directly from Steam with some commands.
As for downloading wouldn't a torrent be perfect for this? I know torrenting is often associated with pirating but there's a lot of legit uses for torrents and sharing large files is one of them.
Or they could just delay it for a much more smooth launch

Good thing gog had a sale a few days ago, got Fallout 4 again for there for just a few dollars for the goty edition. Odd timing, but lucky. I really wanna play this mod.

They need to rise the gb size on how many mods you can have on consoles pcs are so expensive way more expensive than consoles like it makes sense that this ain’t coming on ps5 There’s gotta be a way they can add it to Xbox there has to like there’s a mod on Skyrim called beyond Skyrim and you can actually download some of it on Xbox not the whole entire thing though it’s not fully out yet and it’s pretty decent size. It’s huge.

the mod limit is the least of the problems on console usually, simply because console players already are highly limited at what mods can be made in the first place and PCs literally have the same limit by default - but console also lack the ability for proper custom animations etc.
Also beyond skyrim isn't even fully released, all you got is that partial release in general - so no, that literally got nothing to do with the limit but the fact that beyond skyrim isn't finished yet.

Because they needed more time to fix bugs, there is no new release date because they aren't dumb enough to keep missing them, and no of course it's not coming to console, we'll be lucky if it ever comes to PC!
Of course what they aren't telling you is that none of this was ever necessary, the backpatcher will be widely available in a few days.

Of course this happened, I've never seen this big mods or remakes that I look forward to ever get released. (Skywind for example.) Its just delay after delay.
Its because Bethesda does not actually like mods anymore. They have changed the way their games work with no concern of mods working with them smoothly. You could see early signs of this in Skyrim's script delay issue, but Fallout 76 and Star field is there they went off the deep end.

My father made lots of little mods for several games, unfortunately he passed last month. This is unfortunately an issue for anyone relying on his mods. I will discuss with a friend of mine to see if he wants to take over these mods, but it will take time regardless.

Fallout London is a dream never get come true, like other big Fallout 4 mod projects, Capital Wasteland, Fallout Cascadia and some other i don't remember. So if Bethesda have under new development Fallout London, i think she going to sell it like a product and like any previous DLC. i don't know if is better to get it from Bethesda or from the first authors of this mod, because NexusMods site, from 17 June, use only by people pay to use it. That's all folks. Right ?

Good ol' Bethesda. Their patches screw everything up for mod users but never fix game breaking bugs that have been there since release.
Anyone who uses mods is familiar with stopping or rolling back updates, especially now we know it's broken. Why wouldn't they just release it, something sounds odd.
How can nexus not host it? They have collections that are bigger than 30 - 40 gb.
Isn't it awesome that we get an OFFICIAL update from Bethesda with a few small repackaged mods, instead of an incredible opportunity to work with a dedicated modding team on the verge of releasing a huge content mod?
It's really a shame, I don't get why Bethesda just don't sponsor these kinds of modding teams to make this an official release. It's easy money. Instead, they just dink them over.
Bethesda definitely did this on purpose. Think about it, starfield tanked, skyrim gets starts to get bad reviews for paid mod as well as normal fallout. Then freelancers make a mod/almost new game that probably will be better than alot of what besthesda has recently released and done. They couldn't let this happen... Bethesda has really gone downhill
