220 wheel makes all the think gears in my head spin, it was rated factory at 335. BUT what you have to remember is in the olden days the yanks measured power at the crank without ANYTHING on the engine and it was always a bit optimistic over that.
Also old mopars are crazy inconsistent in the head castings, one completely stock 383 super bee could be total dog and another identical one could run like hell just cause of the poor quality control of the castings, the sand cores would almost always be off to one another. But the material itself is very high quality so stock mopar heads usually turn out great with detail porting!
Anyways its a sweet car, hope your dad will get many smiles per gallon with it! Mopar or no car! (except volvo)

To cool man I’m on my 23rd redblock Volvo over the last 20 years my pops and gramps were and are mopar guys. Old mopar line was the best to me aswell for muscle

That's the original drift car. My 68 Road Runner is the same setup, rev it up, dump the clutch and you can smoke the tires until they blow up. Sounds like a purple cam in there, no knocking old school heavy metal!

my dads 66 fastback mustang is the car that triggered my driving and car addiction. i was in a car seat and he would slide it around in the rain. always had a soft spot for mopars tho, killer choice from your dad.
My favorite muscle car has always been the 426 hemi cuda but I've always admired the roadrunner and super bee.

Love the Superbee! Awesome that you appreciate old Detroit iron. I own a 68 Sport Fury convertible with the H code 383 and a 4-speed. Even heavier than your dad's car at 4240 pounds. It is a blast to drive, awesome to own and a wonderful cruiser that gets a ton of attention.
