Ironic how Rob/Joel, who wanted out of Cicely and his contract, has the biggest smile in this photo. This was one of the best prime time programs and I miss it so much, not to mention the whole Cicely gang.
I miss the show and the theme song. This was a excellent television series when it was on. I seriously would love for one of the networks to do a Marathon for it.

I went to central washington university in Ellensburg Washington which is about 20 minutes from Roslyn Washington and a friend of mine from college became an Eye doctor and had to pay back a scholarship by practicing in Alaska.
Loved this show. It was the beginning of my love affair with mooses! And my first look ar Alaska, which led to me following the Iditarod from Australia

Remember when Adam the chef had a dinner party and everyone was impressed except Joel so he decides to do the same and uses canned mushrooms and all other kinds of shortcuts and Adam reams him a new one and calls him an amature and an idiot YOU IDIOT I loved his character definitely the best show of the 90s hands down that theme song bring back a ton of memories I used to watch this show with my wife it was something we both looked forward too back I the day after working our asses off at our jobs feeding the kids and winding down after dinner she passed away 4 years ago that theme song brings back a ton of memories of her and I
First of all nice sound quality. I never watched this show but I do remember seeing the moose walking around town and I remember hearing this exact song on the radio.
Playing this for my managers dog that I’m babysitting. I feel like the dog really misses her mama and my manager would always put Northern Exposure on for the dog. 😢 They recently lost another dog who had to be put down. I lost a dog a year ago as well. I want to make my home, homely as possible for this pup, I love her.
The groove might be tropical- but to me it has always sounded “northern” with the harmonica type sound and the Midwestern polka/ accordion type feel . Just my thoughts haha! It is strangely an amazing tune though, that you can just feel the feel of the show instantly when you hear it!

As I'm downstairs I hear this theme song, My mind instantly remembered that it was from Northern exposure. I haven't seen the show or thought about this show in well over 20 plus years. I remember watching it as a kid or teenager sometimes, But it wasn't one of my favorite shows at all. I can't believe I remember this theme song.
Here from Scott’s Bass Lessons after the fretless playing on this track was mentioned. Was expecting some dark, moody fretless like the Vanishing soundtrack but this upbeat vibe is a fun surprise.
Loved joining the group each week. Always like going home to visit old friends and missed them when they were gone. Everyone totally inhabited their characters sensibilities. Totally destroyed the show when those two new characters tried to duplicate the chemistry Joel and Maggie had. They were horrible...no chemistry whatsoever. Kept hoping the show would return. Sure miss Cicely.

A TV classic enhanced by an engaging ensemble cast. Having a very catchy theme was just icing on the aural and visual cake.
