How about a couple turns around the pole with the rope and stand aside using the turns as a brake?

Railroads have antenna structures that work like this, too.

Pretty fancy setup there. No similar lights for the pool?

A simple tree limb knot would have prevented your lesson in flight. Lol thanks for the videos 🙏🏻

Hard to justify more efficient bulbs with only 90 minutes per year use. But my favorite complaint with lights like this is that installers think you must tip them up to get good coverage. The result is off site glare for everyone else. Often the light will be more than adequate with the lens parallel to the ground. Not always, but often. If you can, adjust them at night so you can see the actual lighting pattern.

How can a 1500W bulb (12.5 amps) be drawing more power than the entire house combined)? The water heater probably using more no? Unless you're adding up all of the bulbs (and I guess there are 6-10 of them?)

Righto! 8 x 1500 watt bulbs =6,000 watts. Great thinking!
