yes this is cool but also all the other options sounded great too! i voted for the Upgraded studio option. Keep it up!
I can’t wait to watch it. You should feature the 8bitdo pro 2

Love your support Pryantha
Imagine having enough money for this 😭😭😭 i wish
Don't worry, we're in the same boat 😭😭
When is the packed episode of this coming out? (no rush by the way)
Was hoping they could make the x3000i smaller in size with HDMI 2.1
Love you videos
LOVE your support :D!
Great video. I have a 65 LG CX OLED but I was thinking about getting a projector for my basement. Would you recommend me getting another OLED (I was going with 77 in) or getting this (or another recommended) projector? I love my OLED but I also like the 100 inch+ size image a projector gives you. What are everyone's thoughts?
Niceee! We LOVE our LG TV's! If it's in the basement, a projector would work really well since there's less light but keep in mind that unlike a TV, you gotta figure out the screen. If it's permanent install, you can get one that you pin on the wall or DIY one! Reason i'd go with the projector is that if you have the distance, you can go as big as 120 inch which looks insane!
@@itcamefromabox Thanks for the insight. I think I will go with the projector.
This one vs tk700? Is it really worth it to spend 600$ more for the x3000i or tk700 is just fine? (For gaming and movies/series)
I've been considering ditching the TV for a projector for a while now... the biggest issue I see is the ability to plug in all the things (Switch, PS4, Xbox, sound bar, etc. etc...). Do people generally use an adapter of some kind? I'd love to see how someone actually sets it up and hides all the wires/consoles, etc. too.
It definitely takes some planning! I have one long HDMI cable that I switch between consoles to get the best performance but if that's not an issue, you can get an HDMI switcher for all your consoles. There's a lot more details that go into all that but that's where you would start! Ask for cable management. I just use cable covers and line the cables across the ceiling and down a wall because I don't want to run any cables inside of the walls! My setup isn't the most popular because people like a wire-free setup but I might put a video together showcasing how I do it all!
@@itcamefromabox thanks for the info! I'd love to see that video, and I bet others would agree!
You can just use a receiver
Have you compared the X3000i to its little brother the X1300i? If so, is it worth the price difference? Thanks!
I don't have it but by specs alone, the pricing makes sense considering it's the latest tech in this field. If you're considering upgrading, it really comes down to whether you want 4K, the color space coverage, and that low latency ASAP, otherwise, it may be worth waiting for the price drop in the future!
How is this compared to the benq tk700sti? My bedroom is 8ft long. What one would be better?
this one's slightly better so it depends if you want the extra power but both are short throw! on their site it tells you what throw distance you need but even at 6ft you'll still have a big ol' screen!
No len shift? Hmmm
It's sold out rn for EU so I'll just wait and see
Yeah, I had to rig an entire thing for our ceiling mount 'cause of that 😭
I bought this projector and love it. But i do have an issue with it and was wondering if you experienced anything similar. I use an apple tv 4k and xbox series x, both plugged into the receiver i am using. Ill describe the scenarios i am experiencing these issues with. Admittedly this is a knitpick.
Scenario 1 - Gaming on series x, when i open a game i lose signal, then it detects the signal again. Originally, i thought this may have been because it was changing color profiles for hdr since on Lg OLED usually goes black for a bit to turn on dolby vision. However that doesn’t make sense for scenario 2
Scenario 2 - I turn on my apple tv and the projector detects it. I open an app no problem, it’s when i actually put a movie on that’s the issue. The benq has to find the signal again, it detects it, and then the picture comes up, but audio is already playing and the film has started. This is clearly a bug at this point because apple tv defaults to hdr and even when i watch an hdr movie and the profile doesn’t change this issue still occurs.
I have tried using earc and plugging into the projector directly, didn’t work. Tried different hdmi cables, all high speed, at least 18gbs per second, didn’t work. I’m struggling to find what’s wrong.
Hey Zach, that definitely sounds like auto source detection and not a bug but I think you called it such as with the LG TV. All our previous BenQ projectors have done the same. Both the Xbox and Apple TV are telling the projector that there's a change in signal and then the projector auto adjusts to what suits the contents video and audio. For example, on Xbox, if you go from the home screen to a game, it'll blackout to adjust but then if you from the game to the home screen, it'll blackout and adjust as well, does it for each instance. In the scenarios you mentioned, I believe either (video or audio) would cause that quick blackout to occur as it makes the adjustment, maybe even possibly if no adjustment is made? One way to tell would be if that blackout occurs at any other point after you started a movie or game? If that's the case, have you tried seeing which auto detection features can be disabled?
So i actually believe i solved the issue now, like i said before, for the xbox it really wasn’t an issue, especially because i saw that it was actually changing something, also it does it on other devices. What made it seem weird to me was that apple tv was changing things, even with hdr content since apple tv is already sending the benq into hdr mode. What i did was go into the apple tv, and disabled all the auto settings there. That seems to have solved the issue without problem👍
Ohh, so both Apple TV and BenQ were auto-ing, good to know! Appreciate the comment Zach and glad you solved it!
Is it portable for you? It seems like you can move it around
It's heavy BUT it's much less heavier than those massive cinema projectors that are perma-mounted lol
What does the NOPE mean at 5:03 ? Does it not display dark parts well enough to give you advantage in game?
The nope is me running away from the giant crabs lol It's actually great in the dark. thanks to HDR and it's brightness but it's hard to capture on camera!
@@itcamefromabox oh... Now I completely understood 😂 I was too fixated on the projector info I forgot about humor! Thanks for this.
I have it but I'm just concerned about the ventillation sound, meausres 32 decibels 1m away but if you're next to it, it meausres 50 decibels
is this expected or do I have a faulty fan?
Ours got a bit loud after a few hours of play but since we were using it with the speakers, I never really noticed it :O It does get hot though so that fan may have to go into overdrive to keep everything up to temp. Are you using it with external speakers?
Definitely a TV replacement.
Yes, exactly!
What does it mean that leds can kill light completely. Dont you still need a screen between the light and the lens? That should mean that light spreads behind the screen before it goes out through the lens.
It means the LEDs can turn off when a pure black screen needs to be displayed (this isn’t possible with a typical projector lamp which needs some fraction of a second to stop glowing after power is cut to it). This is also the reason no rainbow wheel is needed for this projector (the 3 different colored LEDs can just cycle which are on in quick succession, much quicker than a rainbow wheel can spin which makes the rainbow effect less apparent on this projector).
I actually don’t like that the lights completely turn off during a black scene, it’s a way manufacturers can claim an impossible contrast ratio, but it’s super distracting imo when for instance you are watching a movie with a dark scene and then as soon as even a spec of something lit up comes into view the whole screen gets noticeably brighter (since the light has to turn in and it illuminates the whole screen area slightly).
I hope there is a way to turn this feature off on this projector. I’d rather the minimum light level just be a constant full grey and not turn on and off.
@@porkfatrules The blacks are more dark greys and this is LED not OLED so there is backlight similar to LED TVs. The blacks aren't nearly as deep as the EPSON 5050 but are clear enough to see detail. I think Sony's Native 4k projectors are the only ones with an infinite contrast ratio as their blacks can get ultra dark. (really amazing projectors)
Can i connect it to a pc? please reply😢
new outro???
Is the color of X3000i much better than TK700STI ?
It's notably better but that's only if you have both to compare! The average consumer will be extremely satisfied with the TK700!
cant get 3d to work, please guide.
wow I'm early yaaay
Appreciate ya Umii! Thanks for watching!
Please give me a coupon...
Its a big box lol
Which makes perfect sense on this channel :D
No lens shift, and no keystone in game mode? Yikes. Very limiting placement
Yes sir, they're always trying to balance things with the price which leads to things like lens shift missing but I think it's going to come soon. It's either 4K or lens shift, but if it's under $5k there's always something to sacrifice 😭
@@itcamefromabox Do you know if that requires the projector lens to be parallel to the wall its projecting to, and also dead centre of screen, both horizontally and vertically?
@@Smugly_Watching_Society_Burn yes, that's how we set it up. it throws from the center of the lens up. but without lens shift, it's how I've been doing it for decades tbh :0 you're better off waiting for their next releases in 2024! I've been giving them feedback about lens shift for years, they actually added it to one of their new HD projectors this year too!
This is over 2,000 for that price might as well buy a 8k tv
You mean a tiny one? $2000 gets you a decent sized, middling picture-wise LED set. If you want 8K (no content) or OLED, then the prices go much higher.
@@YoshiCookie yeah I saw 8k TV for 8k...... atleast for 60 inch minimum 😂😂😂
It's definitely geared to compete with a TV with these features. I mean the picture you get is almost there, in the correct room, you can't even tell the diff!
@@YoshiCookie Very true, unless it's a black friday deal, 2k isn't gonna get you many inches these days :\
Very pricey.. you can get a TV that large for the same price
So a month to review, but NO mention of fan noise.... All the while you have a dB measurement tool.... 1 meter away, how much dB does it produce? Quantitatively and qualitatively speaking. Should be a no brainer to include this metric in your review but here we are, 2022 and no mention of fan noise.
Relax, I can't record myself measuring db's at 6ft across the room for 3sec of broll. Considering this video was originally 20min that we cut down to under 10, fan noise wasn't an issue so we cut it. Most reviews out now also don't mention because overall, it's very quiet so it wasn't an issue. Here's what we wrote about it on the longer script "After about an hour of use in game mode, as expected, the fan does start to ramp up but it's not loud enough to notice when using the 5w speakers, even less so with a surround sound system." The TK700STi's fan got much louder in comparison but here's a video of another CZcamsr that shows just how quiet it is: czcams.com/video/MFM1EniIxNU/video.html
@@itcamefromabox hi, thanks for the reply. The video you refer to is a video created because I asked that person to... Lol. However that is the x1300i, not this newer model. Noise assessment should be part of a review if the product under review emits sound, easy as that. Espexially beamers, since so much of any video experience depends on audio. Nevertheless, thanks for the informative reply. Have a good day!
True, im at work on mobile and didn't notice! Trust me, I get where you're coming from. If you look at the beginning of my channel, I used to tackle every single feature on w.e I reviewed but these days, I have to try to keep it short since all I want is to go every detail lol But thanks for the input, i'll make sure we don't cut those things out of the next one we're working on!
@@itcamefromabox no sweat man, you're putting down some good content keep it up, appreciate it :)
@@buildyear86 Thanks! Appreciate the interaction, you make platforms like this worth it!
You could see dust inside the lens when he put his finger on it lmfao china made lol made in a dust free environment I don't think so lmfao
I saw other people say that BenQ will provide a new type of front panel for the X3000i that’s able to be opened and cleaned!
