  • I map out a lot of my rides not only to prevent myself from getting lost, but to provide safety and security on my long rides. Here, I talk about what features I like in using RideWithGPS and Strava, and how to use these features.

I use komoot, and google maps separately for street view. I’ll try ridewithgps, sounds way easier to plan routes.

I always use google maps to check intersections and what the roads look like. Happy and safe riding!

excellent video about safe riding have you tried using a side mirror. do i need a paid subcription with strava to be able to sync the strava routes to wahoo?

Hi Carlo! Unfortunately you need to have a Strava subscription in order to map out routes, however with RideWithGps it comes with the free version minus the additional features. If you just want to sync routes someone else has created- you don’t need the paid version.

Once you create a route through mapmyride you have to upload it to Strava. It doesn’t automatically transfer over.
