Verily, you are coming to a people among the people of the Book, so call them to testify there is no God but Allah and I am the Messenger of Allah. If they accept that, then teach them that Allah has obligated five prayers in each day and night. If they accept that, then teach them that Allah as obligated charity to be taken from the rich and given to the poor. If they accept that, beware not to take from the best of their wealth. Believe me, there is no compromise or leeway, with the pro-choice lobby, they want abortions, without any restriction up to the moment of birth, for any or no reason at all, and as often as a woman wants one. The far-left sees those, who want to see terminations used as a very last resort, as little more than knuckle-dragging neanderthals, who want to turn back the clock, to a time when women, were confined to a life of endless childbearing and drudgery.

i totally understood this topic from your perspective. As a Muslim I always knew that abortion was allowed in Islam under only two conditions: when pregnancy occured due to rape or if the childbirth will for certain endanger the life of the mother. Under no other circumstances is abortion allowed. I cant believe that people like Omar Suleiman- who I would look up to - published essays where it is being said abortion is allowed when the parents are unsure if they can raise the child. this stands against everything that Islam teaches. Allah swt says in the Holy Quran that people should not kill their children out of fear for poverty. What these people stand for absolutely baffles me.
I also never thought that at a point of my life I would rather side with Republican views as a Muslim. I always thought Democrats were more lenient to Islam

Thank you for this video brother - it’s a very fair take and I respect how you also mentioned the far-right position. That is a point that’s often overlooked within discourse on how Western politics has damaged the Muslim youth.
Islam is and has always been PRO-SITUATION. And definitely has the most humane approach to this sensitive topic. It’s unfortunate how young Muslims turn to liberalism and are quick to support abortions especially when it’s outside the context of what Islam permits.
It’s also equally unfortunate how many young Muslims in the diaspora are so quick to support the pro-life stance originating from the Evangelical POV. I realize it’s most likely reactionary to our hypersexual society, but let’s also not forget that it was the Christian Right post-9/11 that pushed away and led many Muslims to seek comfort with the liberal left. Why are we siding with them now? As Muslims, we shouldn’t jump to either side whether it’s pro-choice or pro-life. Sharia is our reference point and we should always be advocates of what Allah has decreed.
In emergency situations (ectopic pregnancies, mother’s heart conditions, cancers, etc.) for example, all Muslims can agree that the mother’s life comes first and abortions may sometimes be necessary to save her life. Some state laws do make exceptions to a mother’s life, yes, but the reality is far from it. Unlike the majority of the Muslim countries such as KSA, there is no clear definition of what these “exceptions” are and your pregnant Muslim sisters may suffer unnecessarily because Christian law has become the common law. Sisters such as myself are not vocal on this issue because we are “pro-choice,” but rather, we see what direction this country is moving towards - a Christian one, one with no separation of religion and state in a supposed “free country.” I think it’s time we move on from these Western-made labels and hold Muslim influencers accountable for pushing young Muslims to either the left or right. That’s the only way Muslims can drive progress. And Allah knows best. Please feel free to correct me if I've said anything wrong!

I’ve seen ppl get there livelihood played with for less. I always try to approach anyone with the question of who is my audience. I try to use wisdom as the abortion issue with most non Muslims stems from ideology and desires. Most of these ideologies are rooted in atheism and most people are secular in the US. I always lead most topics with not arguing about the topic but by mentioning Allahs beautiful names and attributes and praising him. You’d be surprised how often the person or people I’m in a discussion with quickly forget about the heated topic and become calm and are kind of at loss for words. It seems that if you are against for example racism then you have to join the left and subscribe to the whole package of leftist politics. Similarly if you are with traditional family values then you have to sign up to the whole right wing ideology. We don’t see that here so much. You can be anti abortion and with conservative family values without being labelled by one ideology or the other but rather by your own values I.e a Muslim in this case. I think this is what makes a lot of your so called Muslim leaders push towards the left. They have been told that if you don’t subscribe to everything on the left wing agenda, they will then have to live with everything on the right wing agenda ranging from racism to islamophobia ie if your not with me then your against me

You don't have to like the Republicans, I understand, but on SOME issues, they are not entirely wrong (and a few decades ago, lots of Muslims in America were actually Republicans, most voted for the Republican Party in 2000 at least). For example, opposing same-gender marriage, recreational drugs, and abortion are all things that most Muslims should agree with. We do not have to judge them necessarily. But we should not approve of them either. I visited Africa once, and most people there both Christians and Muslims, would be disgusted by lots of Ilhan Omar's policies. The problem with American society is that one side rejects nearly all faith and spirituality, and the other side takes it to another extreme. Perhaps finding a balance between them is best. :(

I agree with you and yes Muslims did support the Republican party up until 2000s. I believe that was mostly due to Republican foreign policy was favorable towards many Muslim countries throughout the world (i.e, Cold War era, Soviets invading Afghanistan, etc). But after 9/11 and the War on Terror, it seems the Democrats began pulling more Muslims to the left making us believe they were giving us a "safe space" from Islamaphobia. That was the propaganda they wanted us to believe but they really had a dark agenda. A decade later they used our support to help get them legalize gay marriage, drugs and other things. Some Muslims are starting to wake up and realize Democrats are not really working in their favor and starting to move back to the right because of the importance of going back to conservative family values.
