If you are after an indepth understanding of who Apple worked with on their partnerships, I highly recommend "Steve Jobs - The Exclusive Biography by Walter Isaacson". It is a great book and gives real insights into how Apple changed under Steve Job's control.
The characteristic visionaries belong to innovators and not to early adoptors according to me. Musk and Jobs are visionaries, they are innovators
