It's because one of the judges probably thought that Woodley won because he was more aggressive. Woodley was aggressive but he never threw much, while Jake was less aggressive but his jab kept landing.

i had it as a draw personally 3 round for woodley and a 10-8 for the knockdown that wasnt called had it been called the scorecards thatstood woud have been 2 draws and a win for tyron
but evryone else pretty much had it had it 4 rounds a peice with a 10-8 for tyron he won clear
Jake threw a lot but from what I saw not a lot landed. If Tyron while he was being the aggressor let his hands go like in that one round and got that knockdown scored he could've done it.
Tyron got outboxed period. He was looking for those power shots only. He applied pressure but didn't throw enough. Did he land a few yes, but overall Jake fought smart by picking his shots utilizing his jab, something that Tyron lacks. I think this was good for Jake, to experience those later rounds which pushed his cardio which fatigued him, but he still hung in there. We saw him take a power shot from a hard puncher and survived. Give Jake his props man, like Mike said he is still a novice, people are expecting so much for a guy who only has 5 fights total. Props to jake.

it wasn't unanimous when he's being walked down and the punch threw the ropes could have been called a knocked down but he won the fight.

I think Jake had an off night. His footwork was bizarre and he admitted his legs were feeling odd. Did well though and it’s only up from here, definitely keen to see Logan fight after gaining so much knowledge after Floyd

They wouldn't sanction the fight because of Bispings eye.
What we learned is that JP is nowhere near good enough to box actual boxers and that transitioning MMA striking to boxing is not so simple, unless the MMA fighter is from a predominantly boxing background turned MMA. I confidently predict that JP will again dodge fighting a boxer.
I've been saying been the same thing. People called me crazy and I actually train. I said Tyron wasn't a good striker. Tyrons world class grappling helped him in MMA as his opponents where more afraid of getting taken down which stopped most of them from commiting to there punches
Tyrons issue wasn't that he had terrible striking, his striking was better then I expected. He had the striking to beat jake even though he was another mma wrestler, but tyron lost same reason he lost his last 4. He just doesn't throw enough punches and just stands there like the opponent has a gun in his hand
@@friedstevv1908 he barely punched in that fight, didn't establish a jab so set up combos, and decent striker would feel comfortable throwing combos which he didn't do. Which shows his striking needs some work.

Tyron's UFC inactivity carried over to the boxing ring. The guy just won't throw, that was his problem in the UFC and nothing changed. If he would have just been a bit more aggressive. Both guys were trying to throw a big right on the counter as inexperienced boxers will do but Jake just threw more which ultimately won him the fight.

Quite concerning at this professionals analyse “Micheal Bisping”. Tyrone dominated, more aggressive, more clear cut hits, maybe less landed shots but that means nothing. A fly could land more contact on me but doesn’t mean the fly wins. Jake was also wobbled.
Tyron should have attacked more and he’s done this so many times against opponent less dangerous now if he had attacked more would he win? Who knows maybe then Jake lands that shot while T is coming in.
That’s what he should have done but it doesn’t mean he would have won. It would have changed the dynamic of the fight.
