- Hello to all friends and fans,
Here comes the next gem from our ultimate Splatterhouse music tribute. Splatterhouse-2 final boss fight theme! As with the others, - we have made a demo of this track in the past...but now comes the real deal! A lot of work went into this one. So here it is: the final result, polished by education and effort.
This track is a part of our latest non-profit music tribute project "Dark Resurrection" - dedicated to the music and the games of the legendary Splatterhouse series parts 2 and 3.
Dark Resurrection 2018 - is a vastly improved Splatterhouse games music tribute, which is not likely to be easily matched. Hexen Star, the band's producer, guitarist, sound tech and the metal force behind the wheel - went to insane lengths to present those tracks in the way they are now. Including suspending no less than 3 ongoing albums for several years in favor of education in the music production and sound departments.
And now, when things are sounding as a properly made metal tribute, we are truly proud to deliver this project to you all. This is to bring more inspiration and the spirit of dedication to music, classic games and creative standards. Enjoy!
All albums are non-profit and you are welcomed to download them here at our website. www.hexenmagetower.com/blades.htm
Enjoy! - Hudba
Glad to see a boss montage where Dr West gets incinerated with a potassium bomb instead of just being punched to death and falling on the floor in a heap.
Wow not only is there a kick ass soundtrack running to it, but I just watched the Infamous void level become someone's BITCH.
Honored to hear that!
Bows and applause ;-)
Badass theme for a badass final battle
Oh how great Splatterhouse is. My favorite track is Splatterhouse
Perfection
Honored to hear that! Thanks!!! This track was not easy to make.
The mixing part alone used to drive me insane, and the precision of the 1/8ths too...
But, i guess Gods of Music, Rick and The Mask were on my side!
That, and my friends...
@@HexenStar Got to say, after making this comment I went and downloaded the album. The words Criminally Underatted come to mind, you guys are goin' somewhere, that's for damn sure
This is just about the most powerful thing that anybody said to me in the last 10 years. I feel moved by your words, made me think. Cause the reality is that the band currently resembles a car with triangle wheels,
that is to put it mildly. Serious differences in dedication among the bandmates may cause the whole thing to break and disappear, and I have no idea exactly how the next project is going to be completed, if at all. Even the Castlevania album may be affected. I am working on it, but i really can't tell what's in store for this outfit.
@@HexenStar man, sorry to hear the band is in trouble, I hope you guys can sort it out! Castlevania covers!? damn I want that!!!!!!!
I visited your web site and if it can help I might be able to re design it for you, I totally volunteer to do it. Let me know if interested ;)
I cant help but again thank you for doing it and sharing! its amazing the work you've done.
@@MarianoDevourment Thanks for the reply, i guess it took me a while, but i guess it is time i came to terms with reality, as well as let people know what's up. Unfortunately, "Blades of Vengeance" - the band broke up and no longer exists. It was a gradual process, where i consciously ignored the symptoms and thought that i can make up for my lead teammate's ignorance with plain old hard work. But when others do not care, it was getting harder and harder with things that should take days - took weeks, and with things that should take weeks - took months and even years. Eventually, it was too much for me.
As the one who does 90% of everything in the band - i got fed up with that.
The falling out took place exactly in the middle of the Castlevania tribute album. Fortunately, enough work has been already done so that i can finish the project on my own, mostly. So these tracks will be completed and released.
On the other hand - it won't be so soon. Most likely very late 2019 or early 2020. The reason for that is my decision to redirect all efforts to my projects in game modding and design, - so that i can retire from this field an return to music. Besides, i seriously need to regroup and hire sort things out with recordings, before i can tackle this task alone.
There is a hard-rock AOR album, which we planned after Castlevania, about 35% completed - and this one hangs above me more than anything. I will return to everything music. The show must go on, and it will go on. But for now, it is game mods, my friends. Stay tuned.
I appreciate your offer for the site, but not sure that i understand what you have in mind. As little a role as it plays, it does its job either way...
Amazing!!!! it is indeed noted all the effort put into this version, love it!
I still like it a bit more the other one (please don't hate me), altough this one can hear a lot better what each instrument is doing and the bass line was reworked? it seems this version put in a lot more notes, scales and arpeggios in the bass line.
Either way if the other version to me has 10/10 this one has 9/10
Again thanks for doing it and sharing!
For someone skilled enough to discern the (indeed) complex bass in this track - you definitely should have noticed the old version's formidable amount of sheer musical mistakes, - that means not counting the sound-tech ones. Things like wrong chords and notes, imprecise notes, uneven 1/8ths, 16ths and such.... But, - if you like the old version more, - it makes me no less happy. Be my guest, enjoy and have fun with it. After all, the tracks are made to be heard, not shelved. So no prob with that at all!
gran trabajo, me encanta
Awesome! I am glad you're enjoying it. We have remade numerous videogame soundtracks in this fashion, which became our signature style. Most of it you
can find on my youtube channel, but not all. Unfortunately, the band broke up
during the recording of Castlevania Bloodines tribute album (which some day
i will finish on my own).
You can also download all the completed albums for free from my website:

As far as Splatterhouse II and III goes, - we've got the best tracks remade
in ways that would've certainly made both Rick and the Mask very proud.
Have fun!
Nice to see Dr West incinerated with a potassium bomb for a change, much more fitting demise for the individual responsible for the events of the first game than simply falling to the floor in a heap after one punch.
One of the very few unique things that you can do in this game. Splatterhouse 2 and 3 had such an immense potential in the department of various unique surprises and special horror sequences a la Evil Dead...but unfortunately, in both games this aspect was severely underplayed.
Sounds great
Thanks! Remaking this one took quite a lot of work,
as well as ventures into what we now call "creative paranoia" :-)
This kicks ass
Nice Remix! :D
ohh man this is very epic awesome job good song
I am glad you're enjoying it! We also are planning to do the forest /octopus battle track,
but there are some internal glitches in the band, so that's on hold right now. Only 20% made.
Game ending track is up this weekend though, and then it's a straight road to...Castlevania!
To sum everything up: every weekend, - a new track for the next 6 weeks!
@@HexenStar ohh yessss
