  • FRANK SINATRA welcomes opera singer RISE STEVENS to his Songs By Sinatra / Old Gold Show radio broadcast. Accompanied by The Pied Pipers and a full orchestra. Skitch Henderson fills in as conductor for an ailing Axel Stordahl. Broadcast live on the CBS radio network on May 29, 1946. The program is complete with the exception of the opening introduction which was removed due to poor audio quality.

    Good song selection and sound quality. He sounds natural and serious without an excess of ‘40s hep talk.
