I am so fucking impressed with Christian in this one , he almost had no mic time , but sold an entire story with just master body language , this level of talent cant be taught......this is the result of ridiculous hard work over the years and dedication to his character , RESPECT !
Christian Cage is really at the top of his game! Hope he gets a run as the AEW Champion soon! The definition of underrated and a pure heel! He deserves his flowers more than anyone.
Noticed after he said "Go F Yourself" and went out the ring into the ramps. The crowd were chanting something but when he lifts the mic closer to his face, the crowd just went quiet like there's a dial somewhere that turns them off. That's honestly impressive. I always loved Christian, glad he's getting the love he deserves. So underrated
That one line will forever be memed in the wrestling community.

Christian Cage was held back so much in his career, got treated rudely by internet fans when he signed in AEW after years where we thought he won't be able to wrestle again! So happy he's proving that he's one of the best ever in this fantastic heel run. Hope he gets a run as the AEW Champion to complete his redemption and get his flowers on the highest level possible. He truly deserves it.

Sting IS a big deal. He won the title from Ric Flair in June or July 1990 in Baltimore...to his days dealing with the nWo...Sting won the strap when I graduated high school. I remember it like it was yesterday.

@@coolcebolla I watched NWA/WCW on Superstation WTBS in the 80s. 4 Horsemen, Road Warriors, Freebirds, Dusty, Magnum TA, Nikita Koloff, etc...then Sting arrived in 1987 and he tore the roof off of every venue he entered. Sting was that good.

What a time to be a wrestling fan. From watching since the Monday Night Wars to this, is honestly a blessing to even witness. There are wrestling fans from the generation that watched these two debut that will never get to witness these amazing segments, let alone the moments they’re about to create. Appreciate this because we’re witnessing a beautiful story book ending in the making.

Totally agree. I grew up watching wrestling the past 35 years. I’m 41 now. The Monday Night Wars era was the peak of my childhood. I remember watching these guys debut and put the tag team division and ladder match on the map. Amazing to have lived through that and now this.
I had just said that. Lol I started watching wrestling with smackdown which I didn't know at the time was technically still the attitude Era. It was great but when Eddie and Chris died I stopped watching about a year later. So everything up to now is a little confusing. This looks promising though. So many of the younger generation won't realize how great wrestling was back then lol
Just the fact the a few years ago it seemed like these two were done from wrestling, but their battled through their health problems and now look one can see they are having so much fun in this second chance to do what they love
If they do retire together it would be poetic as they started in the business together

As a longtime E & C fan, it's surreal seeing them both in AEW now and about to have a real run together for the first time in ages. As much as I can't wait to see them team up again, Christian is just killing it right now. Would love to see the ultimate twist to their arc being that Edge turns heel and they team up again rather than Christian turning face, as most people probably expect it will go down. Either way, it's gonna be awesome.
Hope Christian Cage gets a run as the AEW Champion before they consider tagging. Heel Christian Cage is just too good and this man deserves his flowers!

Adam Copeland was speaking the whole time but Christian Cage's face told the whole story. He's a true master of his craft. In the ring, on the mic, facial expressions, timing, demeanor you name it. Christian Cage has it all. The perfect heel!
In the Edge DVD a while back, Adam shows why he's one of the most humble people in wrestling. He said on the DVD, "I always introduced myself as Adam Copeland, I never introduced myself as Edge." A true class act. By the way, Christian's real name is Jason Reso. Jason is actually his middle name but he goes by Jay. Him and Adam have known each other since they were kids, they grew up together in Canada.
Note the way the Crowd immediately went silent when Christian walked back up the ramp and raised the mic up to speak. Awesome

Man, if you've have long time best friends, then you *know* Adam and Jay have probably sat around brainstorming a program versus one another for a long, long time. I'm really excited to see what they have probably been cooking for decades!
My exact thought! They get the freedom to do what they want too, it’s going to be great.
They had a whole program for Edge's retirement that they never did. Christian was going to cost Edge the tittle against Del Rio in a rematch and they were going to feud all year until a retirement match at Mania where Edge would put Christian over.
You don't realize just how friggin huge Adam is until you see him standing face to face with one of AEW's biggest wrestlers. I met him briefly backstage at a show during the Attitude Era. Dude's a monster. A lot of wrestlers exaggerate their height, but Edge is every bit of the 6'5" he's listed at.
I met Edge In 2006 I was six years old and I remember being like this dude is a Giant I barely got past his knees
Honestly this reunion between Christian Cage and Adam Copeland was the best moment ever in the world of pro-wrestling and currently in AEW and then that damn hug was the best thing in the world ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I loved the part about him knowing the feeling of having the knowledge sucked out of him then being betrayed- that's a reference to the Judgement Day- and perhaps even a case or two of real-life stuff. We'll never know that part if it's true cuz Adam's a true pro and would never talk shit about someone.

I met E and C at comic con a few years ago now both wonderful guys. As a LONG time wrestling fan seeing them back in the ring together makes my heart smile. Adam shaking Sting's hand made me so happy. This story will be amazing. I cannot wait to see what the two of them cook up together.
I loved the signing when it first happened, but I'm loving Copeland in AEW even more the more I think about it.
He's going to provide such a maturity on promos, in putting together matches, and in leading that locker room by example. One week and it feels like it was always where he was meant to be, and he seems to genuinely be having fun.
And hell, if things work out right, maybe he, Christian Cage, and the Hardys can all call it a career at the same time and have their last match be against each other. Run it back one more time against the opponents that defined their careers.
It still throws me off that I’m hearing his Theme in AEW… If anyone told me this 15 Years ago, I’d had laughed and said you have lost your GOT DAMN mind! But here we are. Fucking insane and I’m all for it. You were my Childhood and I’m glad at 36 years old the 12 Year old me is filled with excitement of the matches we will get!

Christian still has the most expressive facials in the business. His looks tell a story without a word, making his words mean more when he does say them
I wouldn’t say most expressive…but most genuine. I feel like a lot of wrestlers really overdo their expressions. Christian’s a master at doing enough so that the cameras and audience pick it up, but not so much as it looks like overblown acting.
