Even though Hot Wheels had not so good physics, it's still the closest thing we'll ever get to a proper Acceleracers game.

it wasn't the best game ever, but it's not so terrible you can't get some strange enjoyment out of it. I occasionally reinstall the PC version to have a bit of fun

I loved the Hot wheels beat that game. One of my favourite games of all time. I loved it's clunky controls and silly courses. Have you ever actually used hot wheels cars? They act actually work a lot like this.

Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed is a great game. If you like Mario Kart then you should really try it out (the PC version is the best one). This game is more about skill than Mario Kart.

Toy Racer is missing from this list. It was a spin-off of Dreamcast game Toy Commander released to raise money for Red Nose Day; however, there were no races against the CPU, only time attack and the only way to race competitively was locally or online.
Pokémon Dash, Hot Wheels, and Sonic R weren't all that bad. In fact I like them and I know "CZcams comments don't know the definition of 'opinion'" but they way you described them, just pissed me off. Just because "the game's too short" or "the controls suck" doesn't mean the games are bad.

Lol bad controls almost always leads to a bad game tho. Like the controls are essentially the game, if you fuck that up then there isn't really anything to it. Everything else is opinion though.

Sonic R is not good but it's not in the league as Sonic Free Riders. I would take slippy controls over controls that don't function half of time any day,

TBH Hot Wheels: Beat That! was one of my 1st games. I replayed it about 5 times, and just yesterday i replayed the full story mode, and it really isn't even bad, Tesla is the item that makes your character speed off the map giving an advantage to the player behind, theres supercharged powerups, shortcuts, fun courses, and memorable cars from the toy collection. I obviously don't play with toys anymore, but Hot Wheels: Beat That! is a game to definitely pick up (in my opinion).
I loved Crazy Frog racing on the ps2 as a kid, my cousins and I would play it for hours. Never seemed to notice the quality, just had fun with it.
there was a drag racing game I played for PS2 and as far as I can remember the controls were unresponsive, the driving was slowed and the options at hand were painfully limited. that "game" was just terrible. I can't remember the exact name but I feel it could have been a dishonorable mention
RC DRIVER 2001 No not that one. After I looked it up it all came back to me. It was a part of the IHRA Drag Racing series and the installment that I played was shit, plain and simple.
Hey Watchmojo, please learn the difference between a game that is legitimately bad and poorly designed and a game purposely designed that way to be funny. The Zoo Race doesn't belong on this list.
Oh god, I have that M&M Kart Racing game. I remember nearly completing the game, because 5 year old me didn't know what was a good game or a bad game.
While Sonic R was definitely short, it was a great game. Lack of characters is actually pretty understandable, because Sonic didn't have the "rich cast of characters" back then that it has now. They actually invented two original characters for it (Metal Knuckles and Tails doll). At the time I think the only character they didn't include was Nack the Weasel (Fang)

Oh, and I really enjoyed playing the first Sonic Riders. It was the most playable and was the most fun. Sega got carried away with the Wii's gimmicks for Zero Gravity, and got carried even FURTHER away with the Kinect's for Free Riders. Plus, the main theme from Free Riders sucks. LOL
I remember at some point actually kinda enjoying Donkey Kong Barrel Blast. It had an interesting yet simple way in which to use the Wii motion controls, as well as a nice touch to the power-up mechanics (if you raced as a Kong, you received a bonus from powerups generated by red balloons, more likely to be personal buffs, but if you raced as a Kremling, you received a bonus from blue balloons, more likely to generate offensive items). The difference in stats was nice, but I will admit it's extremely hard to win without going for every barrel and banana on the track and getting an endless stream of Wild Moves (which is actually a pretty entertaining thing to do)

Hello kitty racing and Garfield racing are far worse than the games on this list, And the games in the honorable mentions plus those two, are worse than sonic r and hot wheels, nice job watch mojo, on failing to make a accurate list of the top 10 worst racing games.

Madagascar Kartz was great. I would probably put NASCAR 08 or MotoGP 07 on the list instead. Those had really terrible physics and controls despite good graphics. The other EA NASCAR games are great though, with 09 being the best in the franchise.

I believe that South Park Rally, released back in late 1999 for PS1, N64, DreamCast and PC, was overlooked. From what I've heard, this racing game has terrible, unresponsive controls.

what kind of crack were they taking when putting hot wheels beat that on this list? i've played the 360 version for god knows how many years and have genuine fun with it almost every time. never once have i encountered anything stupidly broken, nor do i think the tracks aren't imaginative. sure the physjcs aren't the best, but they don't have to be.
The zoo race was amazing and you cant tell me it isn't.

1. Sonic R is good. Though it may have certain bugs, and bad controls, and not the best gameplay, DOESN'T mean you should hate it.
2. Crazy Frog Racing might be a lil' boring, but hey, you'll get laughs from it at least. Multiplayer= More laughs. Plus, controls were good, graphics looked nice, gameplay was fluid, so on!
3. Hot Wheels: Beat That was good! It gives the idea as if you ARE the car, and that gives it uniqueness in one of its many ways! It also has cars from its actual car...library...thing!

I VAAAAAAAGUELY remember playing an earlier non-broken version c sonic R for the dreamcast many years ago as a teenager, at my local Good Guys electronic store. It was decent at the time. Full cast, decent number of tracks, and was actually kinda fun. FIXING WHO KNOWS WHAT KIND OF DEVELOPMENT HELL that game went through before it became this abomination.....We may never know.....

How precisely was Big Rigs #1 when there quite literally is *no* racing in it at all? Sure it bills itself as one, but the original game version the NPC racers don't move and the "updated" version they don't ever finish. You're basically doing nothing but racing yourself.
I remember Big Rigs being one of XPlay's worst reviewed games alongside Aquaman and Barbie Horse Adventure.

You're wrong! Big Rigs Over The Road Racing is a phenomenal game.
You want toy car racing done right? Micro Machines on the Genesis. No map on the HUD and it can be difficult when it wants to, but it beats these.
