  • @finaldarkfire

One VERY interesting detail about Aerial in this scene; It's been confirmed that the green-colored beams we've been seeing up to now are the result of the weapons being set to very low-power, ie; the 'training'/'exhibition'/'competition' setting. Whereas the pink and other colored beams we saw in the prologue in this episode represent beam weapons at their standard/full power. Meaning that giant mega-buster blast that can melt an MS's leg off that was barely even NEAR the blast? Yeah, that was the beam on the LOW-POWER SETTING.
So yeah, Aerial and Suletta are GODDAMN TERRIFYING and I would not at all be surprised if next season we see them take out a COLONY with that thing.

To drive normal mobile suit types extinct as Gundams, Gun Bits, and composite cannons spread across the system. And we know how that song usually goes. We have heard it many times.
Of course, tragically losing sight of the original intent would would have been pursued in parallel with limited military production to maintain some balance. To heal and to strengthen people for peaceful life in space.

There's a lot of interesting details to make out in this one clip.
    1) The Aerial pushback. You can tell that Sophie's Gundam is a heavier model than Aerial but for Aerial to easily push it out, the Rebuild thrusters are strong or Aerial is just that good.
    2) Aerial Rebuild's low power settings are greater than two other Lfrith Gundams. You see the first fact from the beam saber clash with Sophie's Gundam and the second from the big cannon.
    3) Aerial's GUND Bits are perfectly synchronized with Sulletta as they are defending and attacking Sophie and Norea and switching on the fly.
    4) The Norea shudder. She knows what's coming and knows how outgunned they are once the big gun came into play.
    5) The cannon's settings are still on low power, probably because Prospera and Co. had no time to augment Aerial's settings quickly enough, but still powerful enough to melt Mobile Suit armor (as seen with that MS getting its legs melted off). This alone means that a direct hit is fatal, despite the settings being non-fatal.

The problem with saying that being a 'witch' is the new Newtype is that we don't know for sure why they are called witches other than the narrative that says this.
Why is Suletta called the Witch of Mercury? Why do the Earthian Gundam pilots call themselves witches of Earth? Why isn't the fake Elan called a 'witch'/wizard then?

    • @RazielTheUnborn
      @RazielTheUnborn Před rokem +9

@@tenchichan9170 That is eluded to do with the GUND Format. Elan is likely a Witch as well, a failed one, but a Witch nonetheless. All those dubbed as Witches thus far have been people who can survive a permet score of four and higher. Unlike Elan, the Earthan Witches can handle their suits at the higher setting, albeit still in pain. Elan couldn't handle his Gundam even in permet score three, higher was a death sentence (his life span was already heavily reduced from piloting his Gundam). Elan 4 even mentions the whole reason he wants Aerial is because it doesn't attempt to break him to use like every Gundam he has been in thus far, and he hated Suletta for being a Witch just like him, but one who didn't have to suffer like him. The Higher ups even called him a failed test product not just because he failed to secure the Aerial but because he failed to be a successful Gundam pilot/Witch in general. Prospera talking with Elan's handler even mentions she knows they are still working on "that project" the artificial creation of Witches to pilot Gundams (alluded to). This makes me suspect Prospera worked on the same project on her own and perfected it with Suletta as Suletta cannot be the same child as what was in the prologue as the ages so not match. Only way Suletta is Eri is if she was thrown into cryo. Then there is the issue with Aerial. It's named Aerial, not Lfrith. The Gundam from episode 0 is called a Lfrith, a prototype. Aerial. A few things get me about this scene:-
    1. Suletta mirrors what she said to Guel when she confronted him in Mirone's greenhouse, except with more anger and determination. It's not the first time we've seen her become a completely different person when sat in Aerial, but there's a certain venom in her words.
    2. Aerial's weaponry was operating in low-power mode, evident by the bright green beams. We've seen Ifrith and the Ifrith 'sisters' operate using pink and blue beams which we know are high powered beams used in actual combat. When the large gun fired, the heat from the beam itself was enough to melt the legs off one of the mobile suits from the Dawn of Fold, if that thing had been operating at full power, I imagine they'd of been vaporised by the beam's wake and shockwave alone. Much like the beam magnum from Unicorn.
    3. Even if she's been manipulated by her mother, by brain washing or conditioning, she still stops in the middle of a real battle to learn if her friends are okay.
    4. The music has taken on a more sinister tone, the chanting as the Gund-Bits assemble together to form the large gun, the silence before it fires and the vocals as it pierces the firmament are chilling and give the Aerial less of a heroic and victorious air, but a destructive and chaotic one. Elnora has corrupted the dream of the people who created the Gundam, fashioning it into the ultimate weapon to exact her revenge, and with the appearance of Ifrith Thorn and Ur, the reasons behind her visits to Earth have become a lot more clear.
    5. Norea's panic. This character is the polar opposite to Sophie; calm, collected and somewhat seeming bored of the fighting. It's obvious she's the more level headed of the two, seeing what the Aerial was capable of made her break her composure, but her first act in this panic was to warn her comrades.

When Prospera uses the Gund-bit cannon to destroy all of the Gund-volvas, it charges up a blue beam but the instant it fires the camera is outside the bunker so we never see the full power beam.
