Hi Terry again brilliant minds think alike. I also had a custom 1911 built just for me by The ROBAR Companies when they were in business. Even had my signature put in the slide.

I will be honest it wasn’t cheap to build a 1911, the only reason I was able to build a 1911 was because of the stimulus checks during Covid, if it weren’t for those I wouldn’t have been able to.
For parts
Tools
And time
You need nerves of steel working on a pistol that’s a product of the era of hand fitting which isn’t the norm no longer
