Caravan Catchup October 23 - After the Storm

- It seems such a long time since our last video and our last trip away since one we had booked we had to cancel because of the weather. So here we are after Storm Barbet, up at the caravan and checking all is Ok.
Thanks to everyone for the comments here on CZcams and over on our other social channels. We are still here and still planning on making videos but life has just got in the way with Ally being not in best health and me working away.

Great to see you after the storm. Yep the weather has been poor. So far it has not stopped us. What is to come remains to be seen. We were away at the weekend. Friday was wet, Saturday was wet and windy, today bright and sunny. Lindsay walked and I flew the drone. Tke care and stay safe.
Rather you both than us living up in the wild lands. A drop of water is good but its been a bit of a deluge. Think I had a couple of days whilst in Dumfries to fly the drone. The rest of our time north of the border wouldn't even have be wise to get it out of the case. Stay safe 😍
It's certainly been a rubbish year weather wise, we've just come back from North Wales & got hammered by Storm Babet. On one of the night I was worried that our awning would blow away. Fingers crossed next year turns out to be better for us vanners.
That sounds horrendous. Hope your trip wasn't totally ruined. It is definitely fingers crossed for a mild winter and a better 2024. 😍
I'll second that!! We've just come back from the algarve lovely lovely weather. We left just a it started raining.. only to find out its followed us lol.. fingers crossed the next year or we might have to buy a RiB boat to take 😆 🤣

Yes, we've had similar luck with the rain and glad you're sticking your fingers up to the winter, as are we & hope to get out there from Christmas & the rest of the winter, storms and other natural disasters permitting!
Fingers crossed 🤞 eh Kevin. 🤣🤣 We're thinking Lincolnshire, Bedfordshire, Leicestershire and Cambridgeshire are next years main areas purely because of the fishing and watersports places. Ally is in the planning process 👍👍. Hope you and Sadie are both keeping well.

It really has been an awful year for rain. We'd usually head to Perthshire in October and thanking my lucky stars we didn't, red weather warning and floods. The A90 still closed in part days later. Summer was a very mixed bag but more downpours than not. Mind you, on the beach at Bamburgh during a thunderstorm was so dramatic it's a really incredible memory.
It's been so bad we've packed up for the year and we'd usually do some travelling in the winter.
We'll certainly be trying to claw some dry days away over the winter but on past history that maybe just wishful thinking 😍
Hi, same weather experience as us…..so we met the day you traded your van in. Just a heads up about Bee Edge. We loved the site, it is exposed. You will need to take some blocks for your front legs. The pitches are sloping for and aft. Hope Ali feels better soon. All the best from John & Al.

Hi there Alan, It’s a shame you dropped on such bad weather for your breaks this year, can’t believe how unlucky you’ve been. Hopefully next year will be better. At least you’ve got a gorgeous spacious caravan to relax in 👍. Can’t see us ever going off grid but we have stayed on two fantastic CL’s this year. We enjoy the combination of club / CL’s and independent sites and it balances the cost too. Good luck with your future travels and hope Aly gets her appointment soon. @@durhamcaravaners Bit of a long story but the building in Durham still hasn't been handed over from the developer so the firm is making use of me helping out at other sites.
Weather is absolutely terrible this time now
Think the Caravan and motorhome club ,is more interested in making a large profit ,seems to have lost sight that it supposedly is run for the benefit of its members, average prices £40 pound a night for usually good pitch and toilet facilities but not much else
Yes not goid weather this year. Hope Ali improves. Its horrible just waiting. I have issues now that will never improve - now classed as disabled

Hi after a bit of advise , we have just done a mad deal on a late stock 2023 Brindisi Grande se . Can you advise the size of tv that will fit on n top of the fridge . We currently have a 27 in Avtex and I fear it will be too big
Fantastic 👍 Now that's a good question 🤔 You'll have to try it. Hight wise will probably depend on the stand. It may be a bit wide but not massive. We think 24" is about right. Drop us an email with a photo to let us know how the Avtex fits as we get the question quite frequently 😍
@@Coffeevaners Will do not picking up until middle of Jan . I chanced my luck on web chat after the dealership had closed for Xmas which ended up with a cracking deal. Watched your videos which were really helpful in making a decision on the Brindisi, so thanks for that
