Each generation has their own language.
Stick to yours or you’re likely to get it wrong or look like a fool.
Also, don’t turn a friendly chat into telling someone they’re underperforming.

I vividly remember jokes about “lol”being cool new slang, before Gen Z was born.
I’m the bridge year for mil/Z and I’ve had to explain to my 7yo gen-alpha daughter, that we *never* use LOL in spoken conversation 😂
@@mayamartin7359a lot of people do now. I’ve even heard lmao pronounced le-mow
With the British accent this is just immaculate 🤌
Just by the tone of your voice it was like I was transported into a slightly stuffy office with the heating cranked a bit too high
A couple weeks ago my office manager came up to me and said “that’s bet! Did I say it right?” 💀💀
💀
Correct them and say "You betcha"
@@PiYodTong He shoulda said "word."
Haha. I'm early GenZ and it shows in my speech. I know and use about half of the GenZ slang and need to look up the other half.
That end was perfection! 💀
so glad the algorithm suggested me this
She sounds so elegant nsxhnshn I love it
Beautiful speaking voice, indeed
i say Gen Zed haha. Go Canada
your energy is 10/10/10 shabam
God I think this is the entirety of my workplace’s mentoring network. And also me in approximately 5 years’ time. 😁
This is random but it seems like because of the Internet, all Gen Z must have a pretty common vernacular. Whereas the sayings this Gen X boss is trying to translate seem very British to me, an American; and American Gen Xers would say something entirely different as well
... LOL was used at least as far back as Gen X...
LOL has literally been around since the beginning of the Internet. It actually goes back further than that, but then it actually DID mean "lots of love/luck."
🤣🤣🤣
She perfectly encapsulates how her generation is still the one that learns, adapts and then uses the words against the other two main generations. Cringe.
Its Gen Z or get dead
You want to talk like a Gen Zero...... Why?
