I've not seen before the intense JOY and LOVE felt for you/any comedian by your AUDIENCE. The intro was very cool that it included the REACTIONS of what MUST BE your devoted fans.
Those genuine emotions are the most sincere compliment...they truly LOVE YOU and your art.
I do not say this lightly, as my favourite definition of High Art is simply: that which makes you FEEL intense emotion.
Your past work...and the expectation of what they will experience momentarily...evokes those intensely POSITIVE emotions leads me to posit that you are loved by your fans. That they percieve your work as high art.

Hi Alicia, the production on this looks expensive, the multiple camera shots with you and audience reactions, HD cameras, etc. How you make this all happen?
Morgan Schmidt-Feng headed up the production, and while it wasn’t cheap, we did a LOT with a little. 150 people came, and so the ticket sales funded part of it. And I’m a video editor, so I edited it myself. The late great Gary Hobish did an amazing job mastering the audio for a song. Essentially everyone pitched in and I kicked in the rest because what else is more important to me than comedy?
I did go to film school so that helped a little managing things.

We filled at a place called The Go Game HQ in San Francisco. I liked the idea of that white background. The audience is all there. They’re my friends and fans. Because the stage isn’t raised and we wants to get shots with me on the floor, we had to keep everyone pretty far back. If you watch the beginning and then see shots throughout, you’ll see some wide shots where we’re all in the same picture together. Had I known it would seem that way, I might have had them frame it differently.
@@AliciaDattner thank you so much for taking the time to explain. I thought maybe it was a pandemic special and the audience was added in later, but that seemed like alot of work. It was the solid white background compared to the background behind the audience that threw me.
Others have made similar comments in shorter videos I've posted, and it just never occurred to me that someone would think that! Because the audience was so obviously there. But looking at the video, especially if you don't see the whole thing, I get how it could seem that way.
