He had a one night stand with a woman he didn't know and didn't want to know. But once he had done that - he didn't ditch her, he stood up when she was drunk, and was driving her home. And when she was in trouble, he took her to the ER where he worked, and gave all the information he had on her to his coworkers, including one he was in love with, without apology (and of course they all knew she was a one night stand) and with stood by her to help her recover. In his case, it's hard to know how much was chivalry, how much was his being an ER doctor, and how much was just because in the end - he was a good man.

I can't co-sign. Love's Labor Lost was one of the best hours of TV ever, and that was centered around Mark. The Long Way Around was incredible, that was centered around Carol. Susan and Mark in Union Station. Carol and Shep in "The Healers." Jeanie's strength when she was being outed for having HIV. I think the strength of this show early on was that everyone had strong moments...that said, Doug's episodes were also great.

Lisa Darr did fantastic- and they even had the frothing was right on point too; good how they showed up that tonic clonic seizures/ shaking, convulsions can cause the victim to choke on their saliva which is why If she’d been laying down as opposed to sitting….you’d turn her head to the side so she wouldn’t choke 🥺
