- दक्षिण अफ़्रीका के जोहानिसबर्ग में 22-24 अगस्त को ब्रिक्स सम्मेलन होने जा रहा है. सम्मेलन की शुरुआत से पहले इसमें नए सदस्यों को जगह देने पर बहस शुरू हो गई है. ब्रिक्स में शामिल सदस्य देशों में दुनिया की 40 फ़ीसदी से अधिक आबादी रहती है, इनके पास 26 फ़ीसदी क्षेत्रफल है और कुल वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्था में इनका योगदान तक़रीबन 30 फ़ीसदी है. लेकिन फिर भी इसे एक प्रभावी गुट नहीं माना जाता. अब बहस इस बात पर हो रही है कि इस गुट में किस नए देश को शामिल किया जाए. देखिए यह रिपोर्ट.
