- ऑस्ट्रेलिया की सरकार ने भारत के साथ अपने निकट संबंधों पर बात की है. इससे पहले ये रिपोर्टें आई थीं कि ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने कथित रूप से भारत के दो जासूसों को साल 2020 में देश से निष्कासित किया था. साल 2021 में ऑस्ट्रेलिया की ख़ुफ़िया एजेंसी के प्रमुख ने कहा था कि कुछ विदेशी एजेंट देश में सक्रिय हैं. हालांकि उन्होंने उन एजेंटों की राष्ट्रीयता के बारे में कोई जानकारी नहीं दी थी. ख़ुफ़िया एजेंसी के प्रमुख का ये बयान साल 2020 के मामले से जुड़ा था.
