How to Clean Leather

  • Our leather cleaner allows you to clean all your leather items, safely, without causing any damage.
    Commonly used products such as baby wipes and all-purpose cleaners may contain solvents and abrasives that will clean the leather but may also damage the surface, resulting in drying, cracking and colour loss.
    After cleaning, we always recommend that you use a leather protection cream to help prevent staining and general wear & tear. This will also hold dirt and grime on the surface, making it much easier to clean in the future.

    I've tried many leather cleaners in the past and have found furniture clinic provided the best results and a soft smooth finish after. Its my favorite product and I am completely loyal to it especially after trying other products that failed to deliver.

    hallo there:)
    I want to make some tabacobags for my friends.the problem: The leather i bought have big stickers with the name and colour and other information on it because the pieces are samples for sofas. the stickers are on the raw side. i tried to rub it away. it only worked with pressure and the use of water. is that a problem and does it minimise the quality of the leather? is there maybe another good option to get rid of the stickers?
    you would help me alot if you'd have an anwer for me! Thanks

    • @FurnitureClinic
      @FurnitureClinic  Před 4 lety

      Removing the stickers from the raw side should cause no damage to the rest of the leather. Applying heat to the area will help to remove them easier, but please be very careful not to damage the leather

    My sofa has thick coating over the leather. In some places of heavy wear it has been removed. What do you suggest to renovate it pls. Used your ultra cleaner but it looks odd

    • @FurnitureClinic
      @FurnitureClinic  Před 5 lety

      To restore the colour, we would recommend that you use a Leather Re-Colouring Balm (only if the leather is absorbent) or a Leather Colourant Kit (if the leather is non-absorbent/pigmented). If the leather has darkened, you may need to use a Leather Degreaser before re-colouring.

    Is this okay for spot cleaning on a reasonably new sofa with small isolated spillages that have been absorbed into the porous leather precisely. Or will the whole area need doing so not to show a colour change. Thank you

    • @FurnitureClinic
      @FurnitureClinic  Před rokem +2

      Hi,
      Yes, you can spot clean certain areas, this won't impact how the colour looks. If the leather is darker in places due to spills, this is where the products have been absorbed into the leather. You will need to draw these out using Liquid Leather Degreaser as they are no longer sitting on the surface.

    • @FurnitureClinic
      @FurnitureClinic  Před 4 měsíci

      Hi, we would recommend dampening the sponge with water first before pouring a small amount of Leather Ultra Clean.
      The cleaner is only designed to clean off dirt and grime from the surface of leather. For stains, please check our specialist stain removers.
      Please contact one of our advisers via enquiries@furnitureclinic.co.uk should you need any more assistance with this.

    • @FurnitureClinic
      @FurnitureClinic  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi Matt, we sell a Leather Degreaser that draws out oil and grease stains from leather. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that it will not remove some of the colour, however, it can easily be restored using a Leather Re-Colouring Balm or Leather Colourant Kit.
