That is true. It includes an air diverter to throw it left and right though it just wont be blasting in your face.

Does it effect AC in summer
It blocks the AC behind steering wheel. It has a diffuser to router it left and right. I’m in fresno 110 degree heat and I’m fine. But if you need it full blast this might not be the option for you. Maybe get a HUD.
