  • Fun Lovin' Criminals, an American band from New York City, merges rap rock with a playful yet gritty narrative style, often focusing on urban life and crime. Formed in 1993 by Huey Morgan, Brian "Fast" Leiser, and Steve Borgovini, the band quickly rose to fame in the late 90s, particularly in Northwest Europe. Their debut album, "Come Find Yourself" (1996), featured hits like "Scooby Snacks," known for its Quentin Tarantino film samples. Their second album, "100% Colombian" (1998), continued their success with a mix of gritty and upbeat tracks, including the hit "Korean Bodega." The band saw various lineup changes over the years, with Borgovini leaving in 1999 and later members like Mark Reid joining. Their music, characterized by a mix of humor, satire, and occasional existentialism, captures the essence of NYC life and broader urban experiences.
