Aleah and Sarah Finnegan, both are the best gymnasts from LSU- Louisiana State University. Congratulations! trained from a very young age and has received a lot of awards before coming and representing the country. For the tagalog word, they call their eldest "ate".
The Filipino people are so kind! Loved the interview.
Wow this interviewer had a chip on her shoulder trying to ask questions to prompt viewers to question Aleah’s Filipino identity. Be grateful and embrace that Aleah represented the Philippines beautifully and is trying elevate gymnastics in the country. Hopefully she will inspire young Filipino kids to try the sport as it can get them places, like her… she’s competing for LSU on a full NCAA scholarship!

I love Aleah since she was still competing for the US team.. but I have to say this but Karen doesn't or even her staff extensively research about Aleah before interviewing her. There are moments I just cringed on her questions to her but then Aleah is such a sweet gal graciously answering her..

Was hoping KD also made some research prior the interview regarding Aleah’s prior competition in the Pan American games representing US. Media here in Singapore mentioned it when they covered her competition. However I guess it should be fine and Im giving KD the benefit of doubt on this so she could also drill down this further with Aleah on her experience.

As a journalist at least make an effort to do research on your subject. A simple internet check would have shown she has competed for USA gymnastics. Maybe they can get Emma Malabuyo from UCLA to join the team, at the very least maybe get Aleah and Emma to do clinics in the Philippines. Both have competed for USA gymnastics and both are NCAA D1 gymnast.

I hoped that the syndicates of Philippine Sports are gone. I remember the Story of Best Philippine Gymnast Bea Lucero who was their victim. Imagine being the best but was not chosen that's why she left the game and changed to Taekwondo. Because, if you are a coach and your athlete represents the country abroad. It is like a Great FREE VACATION with ALLOWANCE even though your athlete have no chance. Then there was Wesley So of Chess and also EJ Obiena.
