In this one we find ourselves being called out for an unsafe re-join, and I'd like to know what you guys think about the incident? Was it unsafe? Should I retire from racing as I'm a danger to all of those around me?! :-)

So easy to blame others when viewed from your own perspective. I've done the same and watched a replay and realised it was either just a racing incident or my fault. These days unless I witness someone else in front of me taking out another I wait until the replay to see who was wrong
Spot on. As I said above - basically agreeing with you - the replays often tell a different story. I try and run a replay from the other driver's perspective, and even a car back from him.
I've often been embarrassed at my own idiocy.
Raced with him, he’s dirty, should not be commenting about dirty driving

Going into the final chicane, I think that he thought he was farther ahead of you than he actually was
didnt even have to watch the whole clip to know you dont move infront another car in a braking zone otherwise youve got to expect contact especially with different speeds going into a braking zone!

Rejoining is one thing. The other driver(s) also must give you the chance to rejoin.
If he kept his line there wouldn't be any contact probably
The rule for rejoin is provide a car width for rejoining car. Do not pull in front of a car and hit the brakes.
As others have said, he just mis-judges and cuts across your nose under braking, completely unrelated to the rejoin which was safely complete by that point
Agree, I’ve enjoyed Spa this week up front in B/S lobbies. It’s even been pretty clean. Lower down the grid, though, lots of carnage.
that is a move I see a lot now days in the braking zones some drivers and moveing into your own space causing such a insisence then claim you hit them. Under braking do not move into the path of the car your passing guys esp as you do not know their braking tallent etc. Im seeing it so much more now days and it always ends up like this and them blamming us lol

The rule is, don't change position under braking, and even worse, he drives in front of you and slammed on the brakes, you didn't have any chance, this is on the blue McLaren. About the rejoin, you would always rejoin into the racing line, I don't see anything wrong there.
The rejoin was fine and you were well on to the track before the collision
I could count (very slowly) to two from the moment you were fully back on the track to the moment the other driver was even visible on your screen. It was that other driver’s decision to cut across your line, which maybe wasn’t intentional (they might’ve misjudged your speed and thought they were well clear, but certainly a bit careless move. 😉🤷♂️
I see no mistake from your side. If i pass someone right in front of a corner that just had an off i sure as hell don't cut in front of him, slam on the brakes and have me punted off the track.
He's mistaken. Pure and simple.He assumed he would be able to take the line he did, not expecting you to recover as well as you did. I'm sure if he looked at the replay he'd admit that.
Many times in the heat of the moment I've thought someone punted me, and looking at the replay later it's been me that was in the wrong.
It's always on the overtaking car to avoid a collision, why would you put yourself in front of someone who's just been off through the braking zone? - typically stupid 'can't possibly lose 1/2 a tenth, even though I'm gaining a free position' mentality...
Not at fault for that del, the speed you were going at if you had tried to slow down you'd have become a bowling ball, perhaps that other driver should race with his radar on. Enjoyable video as ever buddy
Looked good t me. Where do you find saved replays? Just started on gt7 had a crazy bad driver ramming me off the road wanted t check if I had done anything wrong. Cheers buddy

Honestly i would say it was on you. The rejoin was all good. But your pace was wrong. You have to sorta anticipate and expect spooky moments such as seeing cars like yours rejoin at a hairy section. He would've been caught off guard so his flow would've been compromised, therefore you have to foresee your rejoin at a precarious spot is gonna cause disruption. So proceed with caution.

This is why there are rules about changing lines in breaking zones. If he stayed straight, this would not have happened.
You had already rejoined and gone down the straight a little bit in front of him too so he could definitely see you come back on the track then decides to overtake you pull in front and hit the brakes, he's a terrible terrible driver

In general, rejoining is terrible in GT7! I saw nothing wrong with yours, I believe the driver should have chosen (stayed) on the left side (almost like he was going to protect the corner) but didn't. I would have expected them to stay in the right lane, slowed down appropriately, and sharp turned the corner - that did not occur. Again - no fault on your part in my opinion.

You rejoined on the racing line. Why does another driver have to move out of the way to accommodate YOUR mistake and therefore ruining their lap time. 100% unsafe rejoin in my opinion. You should have checked behind as well to see if anyone was coming on the racing line.
I didn't see anything on your part that was wrong the other guy just assumed he cleared you it was just bad judgement on the other guy 🍻👍✌

You held your line, perfectly parallel to the white line on the left side of the track. He drifted left in front of you then hit the brakes. Not much you could do to avoid him. Generally, ignore angry comments from dirty drivers.
He was squeezing you out didn't leave a car's width not on you mate you were being predictable in terms of keeping your line and it's up to the passing car to complete the move safely
