This is how I listen to a song in general. First tune, then music and then only lyrics (if Tamil). I hear and enjoy music only in superficial level as my level of understanding in that regard is that much only. And this is how people who know music to the core or inner levels enjoy. He is talking about chords, up, down, ... and the only chords I know is master card, visa card, ... (not that I'm using, but heard of them). When songs, which a common man considers as ordinary, explained by the knowledgeable, they start to look different and become attractive or more attractive.
