    I don't recall the name, but there is a method to secure the platform better to the tree. You keep the platform mostly closed, seat it down with your weight, and while maintaining the platform in its settled position by keeping some weight on it from the top, you open the the platform with your other foot. This gives it a really good bite

      I'll have to look it up! I've used the kick plate before to crank it down real good then cam it over, but didn't do it while my weight was on it.

    You missed an important issue; you should have the saddle on so you might show it does not kick-out when pushed from the side when taking a shot on the front of the tree. I have one and love ut!
