Local shop charges over $200usd for oil change. I had to ask twice because it didn't register lol. I said ok thank you watched your video and realized it literally couldn't be any easier to change the oil on this bike lol. And save over $150!! That's allot if goodies for the bike cheers for the awesome video
Glad you saved some money. The local shops aren’t ripping you off, they just have to cover their costs. Paying their technician, insurance, tax, pensions costs etc. If you can do it yourself safely then you win
@@stormmotorcycles893 did my oil change today...after getting belly pan fairing off entire oil change was 10 min. And honestly i was just waiting for it to stop dripping so it could've been done in 5 min if i didn't wait for every spec to come out lol. Putting the fairing back on properly proved extremely aggravating. I'm online now looking at some quick fasteners because that was ridiculous. Would you have any recommendations?
Good tip not to overtighten the drain plug. The previous owner of my VTR did just that... maybe out of fear of losing it. No chance of getting that b*tch out, I had to drill it out after the head was round. Big fun when the oil starts to flow... replaced it with a screw with a 17 mm head and used a torque wrench. Next oil change is in 3000 miles, I hope it will come out fine.

Does the recomended volume of oil in the manual include that wich is in the filter or is that the complete total?
