I'm an extremely critical person and at times don't even agree with myself. But my mind was blown when Hussain made it extremely difficult to disagree. I came to this podcast with low expectations, but boy did Nadim prove me wrong. Some points (I'll add more): 1) To ensure that the human spirit does not get shattered you have to hinge it on something that is necessary to your survival. We first anchored our hopes on Muslim nationalism, but then our "Afghan brothers" started blowing our people in mosques. We anchored our hopes on the army, and look where it took us. We then anchored it on celebrities, and every time these demigods faltered, our spirit went down further. The only sure shot way to ensure the spirit becomes unbreakable as long as Pakistan exists is to hinge it on pragmatic Pakistani nationalism (a bit like Ataturk's home-grown Kemalism), which unlike adulterated symbolic nationalism that has traditionally been sold to us, is a distinct entity from Muslim or ethnolinguistic nationalism. If selling pork improves the Pakistani economy, so be it. No ideal should supersede Pakistan. For a pragmatic nationalist, India, Israel and US are not enemies, but Afghanistan surely is. 2) The question "why was Pakistan created" is redundant. It doesn't matter what Jinnah wanted Pakistan to be. He's the father of the nation, but not its owner or proprietor. If our circumstances warrant radical changes that challenge Jinnah's core philosophy of creation, so be it. That doesn't mean I won't defend Jinnah on every platform I can, because I just love that guy. But my love for Jinnah or Muhammad (SAW) should have nothing to do with the state or its direction. 3) The key to success is unity. The difference between qom and qomiat is that a qom is made from more than one qomiat, where equity is more important than equality. The martial races have strong bodies and military aggression while the mercantile races have strong wits and negotiation capabilities. The current political chaos that you see is because you have two opposing narrative, both driven by the martial races because they form the majority of population (I'm also a Punjabi). For them, it's either victory of truth or martyrdom. In contrast, running countries is like a game of chess, where you have to move your pieces back if the situation so demands. 4) There are separationist movements in almost all provinces. If you ask their supporters if 1947 was a mistake, they would say yes. But at the same time they are now supporting a different variety of the same mistake. If all these separationist movements do succeed, the best case scenario will still be one where the elite usurps all the resources. Sindhi waderas or Baloch sardars will not magically say "ooohh now we have our own country, let's distribute resources to poor". The entire premise of elitism is to widen the divide between the privileged and underprivileged, and it begins as microscopically as the level of family (between siblings). So more countries in the same region won't help the poor, but more provinces and more autonomy surely will.
Muzamil it is time to change your podcast up and host Pakistan minorities as well. Your fellow colleagues like Junaid Akram, and Pakistan experience have done so. You also do as well. Host minority religious leaders, businessman, new upcoming stars, and take their interview regarding issues, and current level in Pakistan society.
Muzammal thanks a lot for these efforts, what you are doing is definitely changing the understanding. 75 years of Authotarianism habits are very difficult to erase. It need lot of destructions before any change in structures. The leadership problems can derail any organisation, a country is a big organisation.
Absolutely brilliant to analyze the chaos in Pakistan from a different perspective. Each passing day affirms your point related to 'broken spirits'. And the cherry on top is the subtle mention of the famous 37 moves of the Alphago.
Such a wonderful and logical discussion! The guest's remark on 'broken human spirits' really hit home. The future truly lies in technology. Hopefully, we realise this soon.
Two brilliant young individuals are presenting a somewhat oversimplified perspective on government and society. At its most fundamental level, human nature tends to be tribal, leading to the emergence of politically powerful figures. People tend to align themselves with these figures as part of their respective tribes. Artificial intelligence (AI) won't put an end to this inherent tribalism. We do have the Constitution and laws, which eloquently articulate lofty ideals in their flowery language. However, these words and grand ideals remain inert until a human agent, a person with influence and power, breathes life into them and actively strives to make things align with those ideals. But what happens when these powerful individuals, these tribal leaders, discover that the laws and Constitution oppose their interests? Do they alter their own behavior simply because the Constitution dictates so? Or do they seek to modify the Constitution to suit their preferences? Unfortunately, the latter tends to be true. Similarly, AI is unlikely to usher in a profound transformation in government and politics.

😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 muzamil y u keep doing it to us bro... I have been searching for that discord community link for over the past 2 months or so. You mention it at the end of every podcast. Where the hell on earth is that link bro 😢😢😢😢😢
If these types of channel's were start creating in pakistan whether they have a huge following or not but if they start talking about the problems that we have and the solution we can provide to this community or to our country to make our community and our country a better place to live , pakistan will become a different version in next years compare to what we are seeing now inshallah.
Muzammil can't u invite secular people for once in your podcast, Hussain at the end gave the Islamic touch to a great convo , Allah ne qumein barbad ki wali bs , which is nothing more than stories and myths of ancients!
Dear, hun, that machine is working on the same old basic mechanics. II is very powerful but it is just a very powerful part of that machine but still it is a mechanical machine . Your guest is not having complete full vision. Same is that Humans( us Pakistani) are mentally are equipped by same basic needs and emotions, just the definition of them is now related to technology etc. The basics are same. And as per your guest it needs only 3, 4 years. Not at all, humans takes 3, 4 generations to evolve/ change .
he said with Bangladesh not anyother country and the reason is we are not bordering with bngladesh if now pakistan breaks into states like punjab and sindh and balochistan they are connected with each other and they will fight with each other for resources
Pakistani youth need more channels of this type. Please keep up the good work. God bless 🙏
