This system will make the game even more addictive....and adding access to subscriber only weapons for free is also really cool!
I know, I actually want to go out there still after filming and find a full set of the Aztlan armor, which is the one on the cover. I'm just missing the arms!
@@Morphologis just found the arms and the helmet yesterday in a cave on Aberdeen - I feel you
I disagree, as a subscriber, I liked the idea of having something some what of exclusive... Now, giving the opportunity to anyone to get the same items is kinda crappy :'(
@@ErickXavier I highly doubt EVERYTHING from subscriber store will be added to the loot table, there will still be exclusivity
@@ErickXavier It wouldn't be a treasure hunt without say TREASURE but Morphy giving everyone a how to find it and get it does take something from it making the items a bit more common. I guess it will wind up becoming a PVP playground now. IT'S A TRAP!
A pro tip for checking the distance , set the outpost you are starting from as your destination on the Starmap.
Then you can check the distance without having to turn the ship
We really need a 'move all' button for inventory - it's utterly obnoxious right now trying to move lots of items around between the different inventories.
This ^^. Or even if not a button maybe a key combo like shift click etc to move items. So much time spent dragging and dropping loads of stuff.
I can see CIG not implementing it to keep things 'realistic' and 'immersive'.
I will also say that I think not being able to move everything at once will make emergency situations more impactful as you have to pick and choose what is most important. For example if your ship is about to blow up and you need to get to the escape pods, you can only afford to pick the most important items. This will also make backpacks and crates more important as you can pre-load them in case of emergency.
Also the same goes for pirating. You don't want to waste time trying to grab everything so you only grab what is most valuable. This can also work for the person being pirated as the pirate may not bother with small essentials like nourishments or medical. While if a pirate can just grab everything all at once, then you would be left with nothing.
What I will say though is that it's kinda stupid how you put empty magazines back into your pouch instead of discarding them. This isn't Mad Max where every scrap of metal is invaluable.
Also click and drag is terrible. I think just being able to right-click should instantly deposit the item into the adjacent inventory.
@@GoodwillWright What would be nice is if the "sort" button would just auto stack EVERYTHING that is stock and the same. This would make the inv open faster and much less clutter AND give us SOME multi drag with code they already have working "more or less" in the game. When you drag a full clip over an empty clip the empty goes into your inv and it AUTO stacks if you have other empties. Not saying it would be easy but it should be easier then all new untested code.
@@GoodwillWright You make a good point about not doing instantaneous stuff, but there there is a point when it becomes tedious. I do like your right-click idea or perhaps if there is a "move all" then they will just move over one at a time? Putting empty mags back is also aggravating because I have to spin my character around like a ballerina trying to find the empty mag so I can slot in a full one.
@@LMMSDeadDuck you can just grab your new mag from your inventory, hold it still until you see all the green circles for all the slots
if it has dots around it, it has bullets in it. if it just an thin green circle, its out
*sorry if bad english
Seems like you could use the loot boxes as storage for your ship, could help give it a more “physical” feel than just the ship inventory.
There's a 2scu box you can make. Search youtube *cough*
That's very interesting, actually... I really like the prospect of having a mobile universal storage medium of some sort on my ship. At least... Non combat ships I'm not as likely to be reckless with.
@@starrstreams Yesterday while playing a dude comes over global mad as hell because he put all his "home" inventory in one, took it to another station to call home and when he set the box down it went right through the floor and vanished. He lost everything!
@@mrfacephone That would piss me off for sure. :(
Sadly they are not persistent through logouts yet, but I like to keep them with the 1 and 2Scu boxes in the back for a single session.
I really love what they did with these! I stumbled upon one during a mission, and it was so much fun trying to get to all the boxes! And having nice rare juicy loot makes it even more fun!!
It took me an hour walking back and forth from my ship with a single piece of gear to realize I could just grab the entire loot box, put it on my ship, fly "home" and transfer everything then.
Oh damn... I might have to actually start playing again. Wreck diving sounds AWESOME
@@Stonehawk these boxes made wreck diving much more interesting. Heads up nothing spawns at freelancer, starfarer and zero g wrecks, any other shipwreck, look for mines with the red trip laser's, means theres boxes nearby.
It's so kool to see the first step in exploration gameplay.
I also recommend a Cutty Red for this endeavour! You're bound to get hungry/thirsty wearing heavy armour, and having that tiny but maneuverable ship with med beds and some cargo space in the back is perfect!
Instead of turning around to check your distance you can set your starting point as your destination in the map and above its description in the top-right it will tell you the distance in meters.
great work morph, you caught me. I only comment rarely, but i do watch and enjoy your work. I cant even imagine how much goes into your well written and expertly filmed content. Many thanks!
The hardest part of these puzzles is actually getting to keep the loot you find. Chest falls through the planet, gear despawns when you move it to your ship inventory, etc.
Problem is, the only way to keep your loot, is to never use it, which makes loot outside of profit, pretty much useless. Its the main reason i never buy gear, its valueless on a personal level. Thanks CIG.
@@davedanter It is called the PERSISTENT universe
@@joefawcett2191Yep. Would be nice if it was persistent, instead of items getting randomly deleted, items falling through the ground, items vanishing while moving between inventory groups, character death due to bugs, all dropped items vanishing after logoff since they are only held in memory per-server, item loss after server crash. Etc.
I've been going to these locations the last couple days I've played and it's so much fun exploring the wrecks and solving these little puzzles.
Especially, finally making some sort of exploration have a reward.
May i add, that you may now need to select a certain bounty like mission on the personal page that makes these boxes spawn 100% of the time, to find this mission just read the description and if it says anything about a wreck, pick that one
What an outstanding video, it’s one of the rare ones I’ve added to my SC list of best videos for future reference. I’ve long wanted to find wrecks, and have explored quite extensively in the Carrack, but to no avail I’ve never come across anything of interest beyond natural landmarks. So that table is definitely a great one for treasure hunting and wreck exploration in a verse that’s currently light on such content. Thank you Morphologis, and to his intrepid team who found them!
amazing video and amazing gameplay loop. as someone who isn't interested (yet) in mining or hauling, this is the first gameplay feature that takes true advantage of the ship+ground combination that only SC currently offers. It truly does have the potential to be the greatest and only open world sim that is only limited by your willingness to explore and discover instead of how many levels you've grinded. the ability to have anything from the start and also potentially loose it at any time reminds me of the excitement I got from playing DayZ.
Very Nice! Now this sort of gameplay is really going to make the game even more appealing. Thanks for showcasing this particular gameplay, Morphologis.
If you set your QT point as where you start flying from, you can press F2 and get an instant distance check without having to stop and turn around.
Recently watched your stream amazing content everywhere keep up the great work
As always, thanks Morp... glad to see that you have not lapsed too much on content (yeah - i was afraid at the end of last year or so)
My buddy and I did some wreck diving today thanks to this video, and made out really well. 2 subscriber chests, 2 gold chests, and about a half dozen common blue chests. A further piece of advice: bring a friend and use a Pisces. You can use the rear door of the pisces as an elevator to get up to the upper level doorways to look for loot. It makes traversal alot easier.
which did you go to for the yellows?
@@youdiehard247 we went to one of the Caterpillar wrecks, I can't remember which one.
really excited seeing all your star citizen guides and gameplay 💫 will be making the plunge myself soon! thanks for your code
Ohhh thank you for making a Video about it!!! Something for me to do, I wouldnt be doing without this video. Always giving us good content, thank you Morphologis
Relatively new to the game so always looking for something other than "shoot satellites" or "go mining" to fill my time, and a treasure hunt sounds perfect. Thank you for the video!
Great video, Morph. You've reinforced my opinion that CIG adding subscriber gear to the loot tables is a good thing by reminding me that I haven't worn my sub gear in a long time out of fear of losing it. This was a good reminder that it's okay to wear your semi-rare stuff because there's always a chance you can find it again out in the wild. o7
Found some great stuff. Great fun exploring the wrecks figuring out the puzzles to access the higher decks etc. Also avoiding flocks of players doing the same. Some great FPS combat suddenly appears being able to hide as other players try and hunt you down.
Aaaaaaah!!!! Thank you for another amazing video Morphologis! My Org and I can’t wait to start a treasure hunt exploration run! Thank you thank you!
Nice Vid Morphologist!
Mi tecnique to check the distance from a starting point is to left the original start point selected on map and then open the starmap while flying. This avoids to change your heading and allows you to check while still fllying. It's usefull for long distance travel (e.g. when hunting for the river).
Happy treasure hunting folks! And great video as always Morph!
Good video there Morph. I'll come back to it to use as resource when I have some time!
Dude you have helped me so much in this game it’s unreal!
Talk about a timely video. I just found the one near SAL-2 while looking for Quant on Lyria. Managed to grab a tractor beam from a blue loot box and retrieved a red and yellow one full of subscriber gear. I am going to have to visit the others now, thanks for the locations!
You mentioned the word ''screenshot'' at the same time as I was taking one, hahah. Nice video, thx for the information.
Great video. I had been avoiding this loop, but now with the new loot...
I really hope the system gets more dynamic asap, there's so many deep games that people just learn the spots by memory or use player made maps online.
I would hope they use the same kind of spawning system as the minable Rocks to generate at least pieces of derelict ships/satillites/discarded cargo/escape pods to scavenge/salvage etc in the future.
Edit, really annoyed me that the pathfinder and voyager arrowhead rifle is in the sub flair loot table, but it still has a big ugly bugged out texture which has been there for years...
I watched your video a couple hours ago, so far I've hit 4 wrecks. Got some pretty cool stuff too, found 3 total Red boxes filled with subscriber goodies, even a nerf gun!
omg its actually a new gameplay loop (fantastic video thank you!)
About the boxes falling through planet surface and often also through your ships. Me and my group tested this, and if you open the box first before taking it out of its wreck part, it never falls through the surface. If you don't open it first, it almost always will fall through the surface.
Broooooo. Posting the goods right up front! MAD RESPECT! You're the real MVP. I will be sure to watch attentively through the whole video, like and respond to several comments, double check that the bell is set up ALL, and if there are sponsors I will click on them. Great video. There is another way of mapping POI's with the OM markers. There are some videos online how to use it.
ı'm really happy to see that we can finally start to watch some "looting" videos. Nice work CIG! o7 ☺️🙏🏻
Wow, that looks pretty fun. Reminds me a lot of looting in shipwrecks in Subnautica.
Awesoome vid dude! I'm away on work but when I get home a few buddy's and I are gonna go hunting for some loot.
Yay! I’m finally considered a ONE percent’r!!!! LoL. Long time subscriber. Thanks for all you do!
Yeeees! That was awesome! Thanks, Armco frendos!
Dude 1%..? Man I'm so sorry that's how it is. I thought this community was better than that. I subbed to you months ago when I first discovered Star Citizen and I always look forward to a new video. Keep it up mate.
Loving the channel!
Even though they're still in development, would you consider sharing your opinions on the Polaris, the Perseus and the Appollo please?
Great job! Very informative. Hey I'm in the 1%!!
Sweet. Now this game even gives me something to do on days when I don't feel like grinding or if I'm waiting for refinery orders to complete
Morphologis you and your mates are the best!
THanks for that awesome informations
Awesome! Thanks Morphologis!
wow this is awesome thanks so much man!
I was wondering how to find these places, thanks for the video!
I’ve flown with Ishtaunt before, he’s a real legend. Might not be in the org proper, but the Armco discord is a magical place.
Thanks for the video and the detailed info!
I hope these get randomized somewhat in the future using quanta to create new wreck sites and salvagers able to completely clear others.
Great content, thanks Morph!
Baller, thanks for sharing that much work
god damn good ass timing, I was just looking for something to do
I’ve found one of these by chance , now I’ll do it on purpose. Thanks!
These wrecks are sometimes the site of bounty hunting missions, too, but I hadn't landed at one in 3.17 because in 3.16 they were empty, so I assumed they'd still be empty. Silly me.
Also, I always watch your videos all the way through. I mean, are you kidding? You make some of the best content on CZcams!
They were not empty in 3.16, i can confirm that!
@@shranjayarora what kind of loot did you see? If I was there for a "find the bodies" type of mission then there would be various kinds of boxes you could sell, but if I was there for a ship combat bounty mission then there was nothing.
@@ElfInflicted i just came upon them on my own, and they had the same boxes as shown in this video and the loot were also subscriber loot
@@shranjayarora I just finished exploring a wreck on Euterpe that I found through a bounty hunting mission and there was no loot there at all, so I guess not all wreck sites are created equal.
@@ElfInflicted actually funny enough i checked a wreck from a bounty earlier today and found nothing! Can confirm.
ive had a bounty (npc bounty) thats brought me there a couple of times now, had no idea there was rare stuff you could find there!! i found some crazy green sniper rifles that have "venom" in the name at the orison raids last night, as well as a red and gold c54, those red loot boxes have all kinds of stuff in them!
Finally feel like we are seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Really excited for the things to come.
This is cool, the wrecks look great! 👍
Thanks, super helpful!
I found a yellow(?) box yesterday following your guide. Not sure what that's about, but it had more things in it than a red box.
fun thing is not having to scroll throu this video to find the chard but having it at the start made me watch the full video chill remebering I should like if I like and even write a comment about how nice it is :)
Much appreciated. Liked and subbed.
yay finally a reason to lug out my rover and hide my ship in a valley for adventuring. its gonna be fun bringing the crates onto my ship and supply the Armory for bunker missions
Thanks heaps for the video and the hard work finding those locations! How do you guys go about finding them? Just fly around scanning for objects? They are so easy to miss.
This is really cool thank you very much.
Wake up babe, new morphologis video dropped.
FOUND IT!! thanks Morph
If you want to save a little on prep, hit up any of the planet landing sites. You'll usually find at least one box with multitools and tractor beam heads for them, as well as food and water.
A couple of those little blue boxes and I've got food and drink in my local inventory to feed multiple servers! Found a quicksilver multitool yesterday too!
Slowly but surely this game is coming together nicely!
the hangar opening scene at 1:13 is amazing. they should jut have a cnimatic camera button that smartly gives you movie quality views in one click :D (of course you can always set your own camera favorites to the numpad too)
im new guy at star citizen. im like 2 days old and. you earned a new subscriber today :D
You do the best content...I enjoy watching your videos more than I enjoy Star Citizen.
Thanks for the vide guy like you help me out lots Cheers 😁
Great video as usual.
Quick tip: To save ammo a oxy torch can also disable mines as well.
Do we have a oxy torch in game?
@@leevah yes we do you’ll have to go to a terminal and buy it
Love the ship reviews!! Please please please review the avenger titan and cutlas black!!!!
Yeah poerfect, i researched today where to find more valuable stuff. Thanks for that !
Great video this is why I subscribe to you my guy! ps : i love the architect review more of those
Awesome vid. thanks for the great info
Thanks for the tipssss man
Hey Morph thanks for that heads up on the notification bell, I thought I had clicked it but I guess I didn't
Nice, I'm not one who will spend time running around looking for em and I don't enjoy wreck diving much either. Got sick of the Investigate find bodies missions, but if I happen upon one maybe now I'll give it a try.
The 1% Has Spoken. I'll admit it. I usually skip that bit! Lol. Great Job! Keep up the great work!
thank you for this!
Excellent video guide. Do the loot boxes despawn if you leave them on your ship?
For the very first time in some 6 years of keeping up loosely with the project, I'm starting to finally get that "items are *starting* to have value" feeling.
It's short-lived right now, because even these wrecks will get stale pretty fast, but it's a nice start for sure. It's also a great beginning to actual exploration gameplay, which was shown through a community poll, to be the most wanted gameloop.
Ok, so likely wishful thinking here, but if CIG could find a way to take all the different ship's wrecks they end up with in the end, and find ways to procedurally scatter them across the game, so that they can't be researched online easily, that would be fantastic. I'm no game designer, but that just simply doesn't seem possible. Not with everyone on a shard sharing persistent elements/locations in that same shard. Will the wrecks be salvagable to a point they simply disappear offscreen when no one is around? If so, what if people never leave? Will new wrecks show up procedurally while we all play? Will player wrecks be a thing? If so, surely they wouldn't persist, even if crashed "gently" right? Plus, there's no good way to get the bespoke feel of handcrafted wreck sites, and the internet would obviously find ways to try and break the game with endless player wrecks.
I don't know, but it's a nice start for sure.
Most of the items you can now sell to the relative shops, so i agree, items have monetary value in game now. These type of loot boxes are in other places across the game world too, except they slightly differ in contence.
Flew to Yela and found the wreck on the first try. Check the wreckage out only find 2 blue boxes. Suddenly I hear pew, pew boom. Knew immediately what happened. Walked outside the wreckage I was in and my ship was gone in the explosion. Looked up and there were 4 ships just sitting there looking at me. Waited for them to at least have the courtesy of killing me but they flew away leaving me stranded on an ice planet. Jerks. lol. Somewhat newish solo player and that is the first time something like that has happened to me. Lucky my back pack was empty and so was my ship so I only lost my armor, multi-tool, rifle and ship.
Thanks morph, huge help.
fantastic content thx for all that
Well Done. You ol’ space dog. Ar’ those be genuine treasure maps.
Complete with dotted line, heading, and number of paces.
Awesome dude!
cheers morph, i hadn't checked out the new derelicts yet
I've done boatloads of bunker missions and the amount of special skinned weapons is pretty low, and ive never seen a single special subscriber skin pistol. Probably the most common are multi-tools with 3 or 4 "rare" skins, and then A03 snipers with a few that weren't purchasable in game even when snipers were at shops before 3.17 Definitely gonna go check some of these out today =)
I realy would like it If they let the rare items realy be rare 🙂
I watch, I subscribe, I hate the spam from the bell
Thx for the guide will try to keep an eye out for these
A little tip, you can check the distance to a point you can select in the mobiglass map extremly simply, you just click on it, then on the top right of your map app the distance will be displayed. Bonus, if you leave your mobiglass and open it again, the 'destination' will still be here, so after clicking on it once, you just have to press f2 and look at the top right.
That's a very good tip!
Thanks for the advice!
Yela, from ArcCorp Mining 157, take a heading 126.6, distance 42.0km, when you're on top of derelict, turn around and look at mining 157, it is in 306.6
