- Matt Bourie, from the American Casino Guide book shows video from one of his video poker sessions at the Cosmopolitian while on a trip to Vegas. He was playing 100-play, 25-cent, bonus poker, with an 8/5 pay table (which is a full pay game with a 99.17% return). He started at 50 hands ($62.50 a spin) and makes his way up to playing all 100 hands ($125 a spin).

in the first 7 minutes and 40 seconds of actual play, Matt cycled thru $3000 without losing a penny and had advanced 12.5% towards reaching "Sterling" Identity players club level. Just let that sink in for a moment. Outstanding job Matt!!!
up 60% than 77% and doesnt stop ! that would have been outstanding!
Well that certainly explains the offers they are sending me now lol
yeah man but I've played this game the other day and tanked
8:57 was an epic hold bro
“We will either play until we lose it all, double up, or until my girlfriend gets annoyed and wants to leave”
Every guy watching the video: “welp, I know which of the three it’ll be…”
I know I make a ton of mistakes but it hurt to see you throw a pair of threes to keep AK suited at 3:42. It reduced your return from 84% of money wagered to 58%. I think it cost you about $15.
Good action on the 50 play… just waiting for that hand dealt
I was playing this game at the Cosmo for about 5 or 6 bucks a spin and was dealt a Royal Flush for $4000. That will more that likely ever happen again to me. Odds are something 680,000 to 1 chance.
Great play! 👍 your explanations on strategy arw very easy to understand. Only saw one open-ended straight tossed away for a single face card.
Great video Matt. Thank you.
Loved the video...You battled them but knew when to quit, Great job!
Great video! I'm learning a lot 👍
Im a sucker for X poker and it takes lots of money to see a win. You did good. Thank you for posting. 🍀😻👍
Cool video. Missed a few open ended opportunities but pretty cool
Wow thanks for posting!!
Being dealt a royal would make my day playing 100 play!
You are expected to get a royal flush about once every 40,000 hands. If you play 400 hands per hour on a 100-play video poker machine then, theoretically, you should average one royal flush every hour. The Palms in Las Vegas used to have a one-cent 9/6 Jacks or better machine. Every time we went to Las Vegas we used to play that machine. It was a lot of fun and one time we hit a royal on it for $40. Big bucks!
Missed a pair of 3's @ 4 min mark for AK suited. Fun video!
Is $6 played a session or tier point at Wynn on VP ?
Hello!
I've never played 100-play before, and I've only played one hand at a time. Is basic strategy the same in both games? Assuming they both have the same pay table and are both Jack or Better?
Yes. Strategy is the same for single play and 100 play.
I love this game. I play it in Biloxi, Mississippi at Palace Casino.
Thanks for sharing. I'm getting to like VP better. Lot's more credits with higher hands.
Thanks n good luck. 😎😘🎃
2:00 I’m confused. Why wouldn’t I go for the open-ended straight here?
because 4 oak are worth more then a straight, make sense?
At 3:42, you missed a pair of 3's. Nice video, love this game!
He missed small pairs about 2 or 3 times that I noticed and that 4 Card straight draw. When Steve's there watching he often catches the boo boos - don't know if Holly knows enough VP to help catch Matt's mistakes because she sure didn't say anything.
Hey, that's pretty good!
Hi thanks for the fun video. At one point, I think you made a mistake and kept one 8 instead of the A. Just FYI…one too many cocktails? 🤣🤣jk love you 😍
you sure are your dad's son you talk nonstop just like him. good playing
Might be better to HOLD 3 cards of the Royal even if you have a PAIR on the Draw. The chances of A Royal Flush when playing 100-PLAY for 3 or 4 hours are actually pretty good if you do this it would seem.
At 18:04 you missed an open ended straight and instead held the jack of spades. Love the multi-play games. Keep up the good work!
And then in the very next hand he gets another open ended straight with a jack but this time he discards the jack and keeps the straight draw, not very consistent is he?
He did say he was rusty on strategy….
@@MikeRthe1very expensive rust ey?
I gotta say, the goal was doubling up, but sometimes close enough is the place to stop. I would have walked when you had $1700+.
You are doin ok.
One more thing…at one point you also kept K A off suit. Wouldn’t the best hand to be keep only the A? Considering the game you are playing? I’m trying to learn. Thanks
Do you have a time code? I'd have to look at the whole hand to give you a proper answer
I love inside straights, it's works for me alot, my husband laughs because it works for me.
Theres a half hour i will never get back of my life thanks for boring me to death Matt
You're welcome!😀
Missed one straight draw. Not bad 👍
Why are u keeping a 8 of diamonds @8:56
Mistake, I should have kept the jack. That was quite an expensive mistake
So you planned this AND no stick. Dope….
U made a mistake around 7-8 min mark u held a lone 8 I think u meant to hold the jack
You might get a cheeseburger comped with all that session play ..he he 😆
Double Double is the way to go. 4 Aces with the kicker payout is more than the Royal.
Maybe you're thinking of Triple Double - and not DDB, because that's not true of DDB.
Or his girlfriend gets bored and wants to leave lol! I feel you✊🏿😅
Who is Steve Boree?

I'm curious why he holds non suited non pairs of Jacks, Queens or Kings. It limits quads and eliminates flushes.
Because that is the correct play with the highest expected value. If you are dealt 2 non suited face cards, you only hold one?
He’s playing Jacks or Better that’s why.
Or until my girlfriend gets bored lol. Been there my friend. You sound like a smart azz version of your dad. I enjoyed the video. 420 I'll take it.
You got ⚽⚾🏀🥎 to be betting that big
you made mistakes 🤣🤣😱. much more entertaining watching live play rather than you playing on the computer. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🎄🍾🍀🍀🍀🍀
Matt, next time look for 10 cent denomination, that way your only betting $50 for 100 hands instead of $125.
Machine let you play for a long time
You held an 8 instead of a J in one hand of fifty play.
I would’ve cashed out at $1770
I'm I going to continue to view your channel, in your own repetitive words, "NO SUCH LUCK"
several errors but with filming I am sure it is difficult. Glad you stopped before losing
Is Holly playing her machine or is she suppose to just sit and watch you play, going oh and ah now and then? Maybe she should have her own stake and both of u have fun! 👠
You tossed some 3’s early in this vid! But good video nevertheless!!!
Never actually seen a 100 play machine. Looks wild.
Why not just play 25 times 100 hands!
This guy would be better off playing pennies . At least he could make a full bet .
Someone who’s entire business is writing about gambling. He seems shocked he can’t win every hand. Cheer up when you gamble
He doesn’t sound that way at all
In all games in a casino, the house has an edge...
So, whatever amount you gamble make sure you can walk away from a loss and it doesn't affect your lifestyle..
Man! This vid approaches being unwatchable with all the unsteady bouncing around camera work....
If you had played 9/6 JoB on this machine your expected loss would have been $54 less for this session. When MGM Resorts assumes control these 100 play machines will be history.
Yeah, that news came out the day after I filmed this. The whole reason I played here was to hopefully get a comped trip on my next visit but I think that idea went out the window with the MGM takeover
I’m Tiring of loosing all my money in slots I want to learn how to play 21
You made a mistake by not betting 100 hands when you were dealt a full house 🤓🤓
So much anxiety watching this guy play. From what I caught, he screwed up on about almost 2 dozen hands....aahhh within the first 7 minutes, he missed on an obvious straight 4 damn times. 😳
Wack
You will pay for the mistakes if you make them not me 🤓
Slow the game down....it's more fun that way
Omg do you Really have to talk soooo much !!!!
