As many people have stated, I'm really surprised people rarely clean their phones. I used to not do it regularly but I tried doing it once a week. The fact that I place it on almost any surface, touch it anytime, others touching it, etc, means that it's just harbouring a plethora of germs and bacteria. Now, I'm making sure to disinfect it regularly. Washing your hands means nothing if you immediately touch your unclean phone afterwards. Then you touch your face, face mask, other people, etc. The spread of germs happens really fast, and we're not fully aware that we're all doing it.

Be careful not to become paranoid about germs, we have natural defences against them, so I would only recommend doing this sort of clean if there are some serious germs involved, maybe someone drops their phone onto some doggay doo or somethin

I been using alcohol wipes for years to clean my phone and never had a problem.
Soap & water seems a bit risky on an electronic device.

I just wipe carefully with alcohol prep pad, then wipe my fingertips with the pad before tossing it. Also wipe computer keyboard, home landline.

Have been cleaning my phone for years but not with soap and water. I just use microfiber cloth, cotton wipes and antiseptic liquid in small amounts just enough to cover the entire surface. Quite funny to see that everyone has to do it now. 😊🤣

At a time like this, everything should be spotless
1. Tissue
2. Handwash
3. Put some handwash om tissue, small drops of water are poured on top
4. Slowly wipe surface and bottom of phone.
5. Wipe off the soap with another tissue

I was told in another video not to use soap. Since fingerprint smudges are oily, what can be used to break down the oil to make them easier to remove?
If your phone has IP68 protection you're probably inclined to just run water over it using the tap, which should remove most things. Thing is though, you'll probably get water into the charging port too, so don't charge your phone before making sure the port is completely dry.
Yea thats how i got water damage on my iphone 11 this year... Is the port the only way the water can get in the phone?
@@pythxn8094 hard to say. The water tightness of a device can also decrease as time goes on as you subject the phone to structural stress and the seals start to wear down.

How about using a mix of of 30 ml water 5 ml of detol disinfectant and 5 ml of after shave?

I don't suggest soap at all.. Think it will get into the speakers and charge port... accumulate...
Just use alcohol wipes or get something like alcohol to clean wounds put it in some cloth and clean phone with it way better as it evaporates and doesnt go into the phone

Just use ethyl alcohol to wipe the phone. Remove the case also and wash it with soap and water. It's that simple. No need to use soapy water which may be hard to wipe off and is sticky. The heck with the oleophobic coating.
Before touching your phone that has been cleaned wash your hands first!
