Ted isnt lying about the last wishes for dying kids thing at all and he did the same type of thing for my uncle that unfortunately passed away before I was born but my dad has told me the story plenty. My dads younger brother was diagnosed with terminal leukemia at the age 16 and my family and dad knew he didnt have long so he made it a point to make every last day with his brother spectacular. My dad was young at the time only 19 but made it a point that he would do whatever he could for his brother and my uncle. So my dad bought his brother and him self and his step brother tickets to go see ted live before he passed. Before the show Ted was doing a meet and greet type deal signing autographs and whatever else and my dad hurried up to the front of the line to talk to ted personally before his brother made it up there. Not trying to guilt trip Ted in the slightest he just wanted to tell him what the situation was and if maybe ted could take a few pictures and give a nice message to his brother. Ted did more, much more. When my dads younger brother and step brother made it up to my dad and ted, he offered all three of them backstage passes to his show that night which was beyond anything my dad was asking for. They went to the show that night and had the time of there lifes seeing ted from the stage but this isnt even where his generosity stopped. After the show was over ted spent time with the 3 of them and invited them to join him at the local shooting range the next day. They were able to spend the day shooting with ted and my father never forgot kindness he showed his brother that soon passed away at 17. So people that are quick to bash him, he is more honorable than the majority of people these days and just wanted to share this for anyone that thinks he doesnt practice what he preaches. Again thanks Ted those memories are still cherished.

I as a African American who woman grew up listening to Mr Nugent's music this man is Legend in my book I respect his musicianship but this is the first interview I ever seen on his political views..I didn't realise how embarrassed and saddened I was after this interview. I understand his passion for his beliefs but his level of ignorance left me in tears. I will always continue to listen to his music but I will never listen to his political interviews anymore. Another one bites the dust I guess..This will be a sad moment in my life.

I got to hunt with Ted at the Clarkrange hunting Lodge in Tennessee back in the mid 90s. I can tell you that he is the most humble and caring man you are likely to meet.
His first Granddaughter was maybe 2~3 months old at that time. I asked him how his daughter and granddaughter were doing. He pulled out a picture of the baby and I swear that old dude was glowing. I never thought I would see the day I would talk to Ted Nugent as a proud Grandpa.
I love Ted, his music, his clean lifestyle, his boundless energy, and his awesome personality. He's just got a few screws loose when it comes to politics and to respecting people. I remember an interview in a guitar magazine in the 80's when he was in Damn Yankees. He made the comment that "you need fiber, and you can't get what you need at gay bars or vegetarian restaurants". So in one sentence, he displayed 1) his ignorance of nutrition, because plant foods ARE the source of fiber in the diet; 2) the fact that he is homophobic; and 3) his absolute disrespect and belittlement of people who make the free choice not to eat animals due to any number of perfectly valid reasons such as compassion or health. And his continually offensive comments regarding those on the opposite side of the political spectrum from his views are tiresome and sew divisiveness. The world needs more kindness, acceptance, and understanding- not more loudmouth bluster, ignorance and vitriol. I've been a fan since the 70's and rock on Ted!
