Totally agree with Stevie, Barron as much as he has potential, McLean and Barron as potential starting midfielders doesnât fill be with hope. As a squad player potentially but at a good price.

Agree wholeheartedly with stevie. Too much wages and if it's a couple of mill fee also for Kenny it's a no from me. On dessers, goals aside, if we can get our money back we have got to take it.

Joey Barton also had more than enough ability to do a job for Rangers. I think people like you forget Barton was chased out of Ibrox after 5 games because he fell out with the manager. It had nothing to do with him being a bad footballer.

@@andrewcameron1556 Well, Rangers were absolutely shite during the extremely short period Barton was at Rangers. After the Rangers and Celtic game Barton had a go at Warburton for his shit tactics and I donât blame him. Senderos was sent off, Kieran injured, and Barton is told to defend all by himself as the full-backs keep going forward. Rangers lost 2-3 goals during the last 15 mins. Rangers ended up 20+ points behind Celtic and Warburton was sacked. We spent that entire season wishing we had a CDM with fight and a bit of dignity. We had that in Barton but chased him out the club for upsetting the manager. Totally incompetence and mismanagement.
I totally agree with Stevie on McLean. If he was available on a free transfer then maybe but it doesn't make sense spending money on someone you might get 2 or 3 years out of and has no sell on value
If Rangers wanted an experienced head to keep the younger guys co, they should have kept either Jack or Lundstrum...

I think Ulderink is a good addition and also forward planning and base covering by Koppen and would likely be the one to step in as interim if they had to sack Clement. Hopefully that doesn't happen, or I say that at least until I know whether Tav and Goldson stay or go. I think Ulderink will be the fall back, he also knows how to bring on young players as he did at Ajax. Smart signing by Koppen.
Just underwhelming signings so far. Only shining light is Connor Barron. I also hear we are dragging our feet in regards to Lennon Miller who should be a top priority, even if we sign him & allow him to stay at Motherwell for the season so he matures even more in a 1st team setting. Not sure, but i do know he should be signed up whatever the cost.

A journeyman dud that was/is being paid far, far too much, which btw we can not afford to be paying out for donkeys that are merely 'part of the squad.' We have Scottish players. If we are to be spending that money, way wiser to buy Lennon Miller or David Watson. They are younger, Scottish and with some experience of the league already.

Are we honestly saying there are no younger, better Scottish midfielders available than Kenny McLean? We will be forking out for a guy with 2 years plus an option for an extra year on his current deal for a 32yr old with no re-sale value? That goes against the alleged model. I get that we need experience, but we will be leaning heavily on his support for the club to drive the price down and heâd be asked to forgo a quite simply terrific current deal.
We re-signed Steven Davis when he was 34 at it was an excellent signing.

Can we stop signing Norwich cast offs? I am sick of it. Mclean is crap, worse and slower than Lundtsram. We need experience yes, and we need options but Mclean is not the answer. We need two CBs with experience in and at least one experienced midfield and 10 option. As well as someone for LW. Matondo is not good enough. Cortes can cover LW but he is actually a RW.
We need to get rid of Tav, Goldson, Davies, Matondo, Lawrence and Dowell. I also don't believe under 3 different DOFs Mark Allen, Ross Wilson, and now Koppen, thay somehow they are all secret Norwich fans who want to dip them for players. If it was a team like Barca I could understand it, but not Norwich. So who is really making these signings? I think someone on the board is doing someone at Norwich a favour and its not helping us in the long run.
