    Great video as usual. Your coverage of the various pen protocols and pens is second to none and is very helpful to both note-takers (that's me) and hobby artists (also me!). (Probably pros too, but I wouldn't know.) You are also one of the few reviewers who actually seems to understand the pros and cons of rechargeable vs. battery-driven pens. Jesus, is it really so hard, people!?
    I enjoy watching you draw too! I give your shirt only a passing grade today however lol ...

      You could try looking into rechargeable AAAA batteries. They might last a little bit shorter but better than buying a whole new battery altogether.

    • @Aether_Star
      @Aether_Star Před 3 lety

      I know this comment is 2 years old but there is a rechargeable set of AAAA batteries on Amazon from a company named ANVOW. The batteries feel shoddy but the USB device that uses to charge one battery at a time is useful to have around. It is on sale as of right now for 11 dollars. Only 2 dollars off the original price haha. I would recommend to buy this.

    It's so strange- I've seen/read quite a few reviews on these so far, and they've all reported (and shown!) a lot of jitter with the Bamboo Ink Plus, but I haven't experienced anywhere near what they're showing. My Surface Pen 2017 actually has more jitter than the Wacom and the default pressure curve and activation force is **MUCH** lower. It's a far superior stylus for me on my Surface Book 2 15"... That's not to say these reviews are wrong, but man... it's definitely not my experience.

    • @Anakianaj
      @Anakianaj Před 4 lety +2

      read that it heavily depends on the used nibs. the default one people seem to use is the soft one and that causes the most jitter afaik

    Just a heads up for anyone considering this for use with an HP Spectre. I am getting ghost clicks like crazy while using this pen, which is a shame, because it has an amazing feel. Actually feels smoother than the HP Pen for drawing. I am trying a few things, but I don't think I'll be able to get rid of the ghost clicks. I wish Wacom would have an additional list of devices that are proven to not be compatible. Like, sure the tested ones are the ones where it's 100% certain, but my 2-in-1 has MPP, it's just not on the list, and the Adonit works on it. I don't understand how compatibility works. and it's so nice and rechargeable too!! I wish I knew if it'd work on my Asus Flip 15 (UX561UD), because 100 bucks is a lot and I don't want to sit here with something that doesn't work.

    Hello. Thank you for a review. I actually have asus b7 laptop with mpp function. And I would like to find an alternative to a oem pen. Because for me it is not convinient to replace batteries. And I really want a rechargable one. You have noticed asus, but you didnt have them in a test with this wacom pen. Do you have any experience with combo of asus laptop and this bamboo pen. Ot could you please suggest some alternative? Ive noticed that asus had their own rechargable pen, but it is out of stock everywhere. So I wonder is there is some better alternative?
    I need a pen mostly for some sketching and pdf marking. Although sometimes I use it in illustrator or photoshop. But not that ofter. Tahnk you in advance.

    Hello, Liza!
    Thank you so much for the review! I remember your review of dell latitude 5285. I myself use this computer now. I am using a pn556w pen, but I am thinking of buying a wacom bamboo ink plus. I see such advantages: replaceable tips, rechargeable battery, high sensitivity. Could you check on dell 5285 this stylus? Does it support the sensitivity to the angle of inclination, when drawing in Photoshop, on this device? Also, I read that on dell devices it is recommended to use a soft tip on this stylus.

    Hi very new to your channel! I just bought this pen and I for the life of me could not find the driver that you're showing. Do you mind linking to the page?

    •  Před 3 lety

      I found the driver, but I can't install it, as I get a no tablet found error.

    It goes into standby and needs reconnecting too soon, but it's otherwise excellent.

    I paid $40 on bay off one. Its kind of off balanced. And there is no full strokes on bamboo paper. Drawing on is almost like sketching. I only like doing lines. My stroke some times light. >:0 drawings look nice. Even if you have to steady yourself.
    I also paid $35 but on Amazon. Less greedy if Amazon is selling. Had 30 min charge for an appa pencil. Yet better at note taking. Last a week.
    Can’t find a good note taking app on windows. Windows compute ness makes things complicated. I tried the install software. And boy I forget you need a keyboard. But this the first time we can use pens on them.

    Anybody know if this will work on a Google Pixelbook

      @mobiletechreview  Před 5 lety

      I believe the Pixelbook uses a Wacom AES digitizer, so in theory, this pen would be compatible.

    Even if i try pretty much all the devices with a Pen / stylus on the market i still don't have a precise opinion about n-trig . On some devices i tried N-trig / the surface pen was awful but on other one it worked kinda good even for drawing . I don't understand why these brands don't do theme-self EMR digitizer or ask huion , xp-pen or other wacom competitor to do a cheaper digitizer instead to use these unreliable and crappy active pen . I know that Microsoft bought N-trig but they didn't develop anything . They are still unreliable. They work great only for note taking in some cases

    Rechargeable battery is the last thing I would want in a hundred-dollar stylus. Once that battery dies, which is inevitable after enough charge cycles, the whole pen is junked. Batteries are the weakest link in modern devices, and I would go the extra mile to avoid buying products with no replaceable batteries.
    Yet another huge step backwards to create disposable products.

      Convenience and integration are what a lot of people like instead of reliability or do it on your own.
