If you guys ever watch the Bass battle between Tim, Avi and Geoff then I really recommend wearing headphones or ear buds just to try and get the full scope of sounds because some are so low it’s hard to hear beneath the songs and also sometimes the notes are so quick you can miss them altogether very easily.

Moon, right on brother, decent phones make all the difference man. I have my 80in Samsung going to a DAC, then to a 1977 Pioneer SX1280, then out to duel Klipsch subs and on to a set of Klipsch LaScala's and OMG. Those subs go down to maybe 16hz, but forget the exact number, point is there is so much music that wont even register on a set of speakers they just wont go below say 30hz. So i have best of both worlds, up to date video, and old school solid state audio. They have made nothing in the last 30 years that can hang w the old solid state stuff, not even close. Thats why if you go on ebay and look those old amps are bringing insane money, some 5 x what they were new, and over the years i've collected the entire Pioneer lineup from sx650 all the way to sx1280. Whats a shame is when all the AVR stuff hit the market back in like early 80's people just automaticly threw their SS stuff in the garbage thinking that new stuff was better, now they get sick at their stomach when they see what they threw away is worth a fortune
boy, he hit the ground with those low notes,and at times it sounded like barber shop quartet. Amazing
The last note was one of the fullest chest G1s I've ever heard from him, not subharmonics. It's hard to tell sometimes :)

Yeah, but at the 19 second of Geoff's video he does a G1 sub-harmonic, and almost at the end when he says "the bare necessities OOOOFFF LIIIIIFEEE" he does a sub-harmonic G1 too
@@deakyfics8985 That low note (at 4:20 in this video) is a chest note. It sounds slightly odd and out of place because it was recorded separately from the rest of the line, as it's quite hard to hit such incredible low notes after having sung higher notes.

I'm 15, and I can do sub-harmonics, a tip that can may work for you (try with a piano, download one if you don't have one) try with your normal voice at A2 an slowly try to relax without losing the note, don't try to go straight to the super low notes, little by little your sub-harmonic register will be lower, and the most important thing, be patient, lots of water, and don't over practice, with that being said, good luck, see ya

The song does have sub-harmonics, at the beginning of the song, in second 19, you can hear a sub-harmonic G1, also in the low part when Geoff says "and bring the bare necessities OOOOOOFF LIIIIIIFE" is a sub-harmonic G1 too
The only one i heard was in the beginning the rest of the g1s were chest theres one thats a c2 that sounds so good too

@@nikelodeon6852 yes and no, if you go the Geoff's video, at the 19 second there is a sub-harmonic G1, and in the low parte when he says "the bare necessities OOOOOOFF LIIIIFE" is a sub-harmonic G1 too, the at the end of the song, he slides from G2 to G1 with pure chest, and at the very end when he says "you" is a chest C2
This video obviously shows Geoff's range. Here is an old video from when he was the bass for Toxic (later Vox) Audio, a fabulous a capella group based out of Orlando at the time. I think he hits some even higher notes in this one. I bring you...Grace Kelly. Enjoy! 😊

A little tip on how to do sub harmonic . You should get your most comfortable vocal fry and add more power I guess when I do it I get a vocal fry and sort of add more power as if I'm going higher /using the power that I use on my higher note but on my lower note .... But you need to find a balance too much power and it doesn't work not enough and it's just vocal fry ....I find it's like playing 2 notes at once my vocal fry and my normal / high register ...I'm only 14 and so an still practicing but for the few subharmonics I can hit I can hit them well
Rather than trying to do it based off of fry, try to pick a comfortable low note like a G or an A then relax until it starts to crack into a fry-ish feeling and then the note will drop an octave once you get the right feeling. It takes a while to get good at, but once you get it down it’s a lot of fun to do
